After looking ahead and seeing so many great reviews, we were especially excited to try Conner's Kitchen + Bar, with a plan to enjoy a few appetizers to start our evening. Arriving on Valentine’s Day without a reservation felt slightly risky, but we came early and they didn’t hesitate to seat us, which was a wonderful first impression. Our waitress was outstanding from the very beginning. We explained that we wanted to eat light and enjoy a few shareable items, and she confidently guided us toward some great selections. We absolutely loved her recommendations. My personal favorite was the Lump Crab Hushpuppies. Made with sweet corn, jalapeño, and pepper jack, they were packed with delicious crab in every bite. They were flavorful, slightly crisp on the outside, and perfectly balanced with just a touch of heat. Truly wonderful. The short rib nachos were also fantastic. They were generously layered with nacho cheese and tender shredded meat, then topped with pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, peppers, and black beans. The pickled Fresno peppers brought serious heat and were a bit overpowering for our taste, but everything else was beautifully executed and full of flavor. We ended the evening with a special Valentine’s dessert, crème brûlée. It was exactly what you hope for, with a perfectly torched top, creamy custard, fresh berries, freshly whipped cream, and delicate chocolate twirls. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. The atmosphere felt cozy yet spacious, offering plenty of seating while still maintaining a sense of privacy. It made for a relaxed and enjoyable Valentine’s evening, and we would absolutely return.

We chose Conner's at the last minute because it was a quick walk from the Indianapolis Convention Center. We were in town for the Monumental Marathon (our daughter was running the half). Our favorite part was the patio out front with beautiful fireplaces. It was a magical atmosphere in which to wait for our table. The wait for the table was short, but the wait for food once ordered was about 1 hour. We asked our waitress twice for a glass in which to pour our beer, and the glass never arrived so we drank out of the can. Otherwise, the service was attentive. Perhaps they have a no glass policy for canned beverages? The food was very good once it arrived. I ordered the Iceberg Wedge salad with grilled salmon added on. It was delicious except the bacon on the top was barely cooked so I didn't eat it. Our daughter ordered the Burnt Ends brisket appetizer and the Mac & Cheese side. She enjoyed both. My husband enjoyed his Braised Short Rib dinner. The prices seemed high but were probably comparable to other downtown restaurants. I appreciated that they had gluten-friendly options notated on the menu.
Had 2 dinners at Conner’s while I was in town for the week. Comfortable and clean. Service was stellar and the food was outstanding. 1st night I had lump crab hush puppies and shrimp and grits. 2nd night I had the guacamole and steak frites. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you Darrian and Matt for the great service and awesome recommendations.
Matt was a great server! He made sure the drinks were flowing and the food was exactly like we wanted. Food was fantastic as well, had both the burger and steak across 2 visits. Cannot recommend the peach cobbler cocktail enough.
Early Friday lunch, so my son and I were ahead of any rush. Greeted promptly and politely by the Front Desk staff and guided to our table. Sky was our server and both service and food were VERY GOOD. We both ordered the crab hush puppies; crunchy, sweet and delicious. I had the fish tacos, my son had The Notorious P.I.G. (pulled pork, bacon). Since we arrived early, our food was on time and hot. Seating is plentiful with booths, tables and bar Seating. As I posted, we were early, of course YMMV. The food is great, vibe was mild energetic, acoustics not too bad. The restaurant is in the Marriott Village with self park about 5 minutes walk from the restaurant. You can even walk almost completely enclosed to Lucas Oil Stadium.
