First, the good: - No complaints about the bed. Decent balance between firm and soft. One of the better hotel beds I've slept in recently. The bed singlehandedly saved this hotel from getting a lower rating. - The shower worked well. Water pressure was fine even on the higher settings, though the water itself was a bit soft. - Noise dampening from both outside and the hallway was decent. I'm a fairly light sleeper and did not get woken up by any other guests being loud. - Blackout curtains worked well The "your mileage may vary": - Our room had a mini fridge but no microwave. However, there's a free microwave in the lobby you can use. It's a hassle, but not a dealbreaker. The bad: - Breakfast is NOT complementary with all rooms, which was a surprise to us. We ended up buying a muffin and oatmeal for breakfast. The oatmeal was good, the muffin was one of the worst muffins I've ever had. Maybe the rest of their food is decent, but at that point I didn't want to risk it. - The AC unit in my room was one of the noisiest I've ever heard. It sounded like an undulating foghorn every time the air turned on. The only way I could fall asleep was by turning off the system completely. - In the most baffling bathroom layout I've ever seen, you cannot fully open the door without hitting the toilet. (There was a chip in the seat from where the door consistently hit it.) The bathroom and sink layout in general is not useful or efficient. - Room service was bad. There were two separate days I left the "do not disturb" sign off my door (the first day until 3:30 pm, the second day until 9 pm) and room service never came. I ended up having to go down to the lobby to get my own towels, and take out my own trash multiple times, which I shouldn't need to do for a 5 night stay. Some friends who stayed in the same hotel also had issues with room service (ie they never got any) so it appears to be a systemic issue, not just me being unlucky. Final verdict: Rooms: 2-3 stars Service: 1 star Location: 4 stars Overall, it's an ok place to stay if you don't mind taking care of some of the standard cleaning/room service tasks yourself, and don't mind a few minor annoyances with the room layout/appliances. But I found myself thinking "maybe I should have just stayed in an Airbnb if they aren't going to offer the standard benefits of staying in a hotel", especially for an equivalent price.

Filthy sheets and a room that’s very oddly configured. Room smells like 12 dogs have been in here. Black mold growing in the non working fridge. Housekeeping unbothered with SECOND REQUEST for a deep cleaning of this room. Mold and mildew in shower grout. Too much money for so many problems. I called at 8 AM to have all of this address. The time is now 12:17 PM and nothing has been done. Unfortunately, I cannot relax in this filthy room and I have an appointment later today.
Truly impressed by their top notch customer service. I had an incredible stay at this Courtyard in Dayton. The entire management and staff deliver absolute excellence. Every team member went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. They are professional, welcoming, and highly attentive to every detail. Highly recommended!
We had a great stop herevfor the band competition. The staff could not have been nicer. One big plus for me being 6 foot tall was the shower was not small. Bed was comfortable. They do have a breakfast but you will have to pay for it. Overall very satisfied with our stay.
Had a great trip with the family while visiting Dayton. Our stay was only a few days, but the staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very clean. I would definitely recommend others looking for a place to stay near Dayton to visit this Hotel.
