This company is super quick to take your money, but takes their time after that. Had a plumber come out to give me a quote. When I originally scheduled him to come out, they said he would be out at 11 AM. The day of they called and asked if I would be there from the 11 AM to 1 PM window. A window was never discussed when I made the appointment but whatever. The plumber finally showed up of course closer to 1 PM. All I needed was a quote that I needed to send out same day. I asked the plumber before he left if I would be getting the quote of the pricing that he gave me sent to me and he said “absolutely it will be sent to you today.” Paid my $180 (they charge $177 an hour but he was in my house for 15 min), and shocker, never got a quote sent over to me after that. Called the office and the girl on the phone really couldn’t care because she was out of office and it’s emergency hours at this point so she doesn’t have access to anything. Cool! Thank you for taking my $180 and not giving me anything in return. What a rip off. Paid another plumber $45 for a quote. $180 is wild especially when it’s not even guaranteed that you’re going to get work done from them. They called me so many times leading up to this appointment but went to crickets as soon as they got that money. What a scam… Terrible service would not ever recommend this company to anybody.
We have used Waterwork for our plumbing needs and never had an issue with their service. We called this week to have them come out to look at something and they told us there was a note in our file for "refusing" to pay, and they will not work with us. They wouldn't give us much info, but this is certainly not what we recall. We called them last summer to help us with an outside spigot and they fixed it but said it may not hold. Sure enough, 2 months later we called them back for the same issue. We were told it was still under warranty (thank goodness) and we would have to pay for parts - which we did, and nothing else was communicated to us about owing more money at the time or later. The fix was much more involved, and took much longer than the original fix, having the plumber access the spot under our house. We paid them and thought that was the end of it. We certainly were not aware of the issue, received no follow-up mail, email, phone call, etc about an outstanding balance. They will not speak to us about this, and we find this highly unprofessional.

They've been paid over $5000 in the past month to "clear the drain line from sewer to street" and a sent a video that was falsely showing a clear line which only included video from one of the two access points to sewer drain in my basement. Called out for a second time about a week ago for the second access point to the repair they did, and claimed it was clear for another $399. Now I have water in my basement again and the same line is backing up. Really frustrating experience Updating to 2 starts instead of 1 because they did send someone back out free of charge, however that person was not able to get to the bottom off the issue as to why it keeps clogging right before their repair. It seems like more than a coincidence to me. Either way after a major repair the plumbing should be working flawlessly. I'll be calling Nelson Brothers for a second opinion since they were still unable to find the direct cause of the issue. They actually ended up recommending I use 1 ply and get a water alarm if it happens again, but was unable to tell me why it's already happened 2 times in 2 weeks since they've been there for a major repair. They claim it doesn't have to do with the repair but my line keeps getting clogged in the exact spot right before they did the repair. Either way will definitely not be using them in the future.
I don’t know what happened here, but after using WaterWork exclusively for over a decade, something has changed. They are rude, overpriced, and won’t stand behind their work. They twice used a used or dried up washer to fix my tub. It started leaking again after a week both times. I don’t have time to immediately get contractors out constantly. They only guarantee their work for three months, after which there is zero wiggle room. The plumber that came into my house both times REEKED of body odor and cigarettes. my bathroom smelled for hours afterwards. not worth it. Edit: I never demeaned any employee. You didn’t address your shortcomings, nor were you there when the technician twice took out a dry bulk-stock washer. I expect a new sealed part, or obviously I’m not going to pay to replace it less than a year later. Stand behind your work longer than 90 days. I called another plummer and they agreed that your job was poor, from them. Don’t scam customers. The fix you wanted to perform was over $3000. That’s Unaffordable. Again, job completed elsewhere for way less. If you’re reading this, and you’re considering hiring them after thinking this is the same WaterWork service you’ve come to trust over the years, think again. Look at the recent reviews, their attitude is different these days. For them, the customer is always wrong.
My house is over 80 years old so they have been at my house more than just a couple of times! They are always prompt, I have never had a problem getting a quick appointment, emergency or not. They are fair, clean, and every they send out are friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain what they're doing and why. They have installed toilets, fixed broken pipes in the wall, dug up my main pipe drain in the basement floor, installed a hot water heater and more. They are not the cheapest in town but they're fair and are the best.
