I've had Canaan do quite a bit of work for me over the years, including an addition, a bathroom remodel, and most recently, stabilizing a basement wall. Every time, the quality of their work has been outstanding. They’re always prompt and organized, which is a huge plus for me. The crew is wonderful to work with—always respectful and very communicative. I appreciated that the job site was tidy and safe at the end of each day, which is something I think often gets overlooked by other contractors. Jessica in the office is super helpful and always answers my questions with a smile. But what really stands out for me is Mike, my main contact. He’s been fantastic. He not only communicates well but also thinks ahead about potential challenges. For example, he suggested extending joists to help with weight distribution, which will make any future renovations easier. He even recommended replacing an old cast iron drain to create a straight wall, getting rid of that awkward corner bump-out. That guidance has been invaluable! Overall, I can't recommend Canaan highly enough for any home remodeling or repair needs. 10/03/2025 Mike completes the fill of the wall repair and levels the outside surface, removing all the debris. I saved money by agreeing to seed the area myself. Mike gave me all the advice I need to make the transition as smooth as possible. Priceless advice, as per - usual with Mike and Crew!

I was in need of a repair to my lower chimney wood box due to extensive raccoon damage. Canaan was one of the few places that actually responded right away and gave me a quality estimate and I felt like they understood what the problem was. There was structural integrity damage. They are busy so it did take a little bit of time to get scheduled out when I was able to move forward; however, when the crew was here it was clear they knew what they were doing. Mike came to personally hand the project off. The crew was efficient and quick. I could hear them tag-team communicating on what needed done. The end result was they straightened my leaning chimney, built a better design for the lower box, to repair the integrity, and tie it in to the existing structure. They did a detailed job. They cleaned up after themselves and did a daily check-in. I would absolutely recommend Canaan. It was refreshing to work with a company and contractor who knew what they were doing after many bad experiences with other places for various other things. Below are pictures of before and after.
