From the moment we arrived, the hotel had a genuinely great energy. At the front desk, two staff members on duty that day greeted us with huge smiles and a very positive attitude. Check-in was quick and smooth, and we received our room key right away. When I asked about a few places we wanted to visit in the city, they asked me to come back after unpacking for more recommendations. The wonderfully friendly Art’Trell and Leah told us where to go, where to grab great food, and what to see around the city — it was incredibly kind and thoughtful of them. Having visited over 100 hotels a year recently, we haven’t come across such warm and positive service in a long time. I truly believe staff like this should be at every hotel’s front desk — after all, that’s the heart of the property. This level of service absolutely deserves recognition and appreciation. The hotel itself was very clean, pleasant, breakfast was delicious, and the staff’s work was very well organized. The only downside was that on the day we arrived, there was an elevator malfunction, so we had to wait a bit longer for it to reach our floor.
General Manager Mick Douthat and his employee Trell were absolutely amazing while we lived in this hotel for over a month for my husband’s open heart surgery. They both go above and beyond for all their guests and no job was to small for them. Mick could be constantly seen assisting his employees with whatever they needed, from housekeeping to check-in. Trell would always be there with a genuine smile and celebrated all the small wins. They were kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to make my husband and I comfortable while we are going through this. They are truly amazing individuals and deserve all the recognition and accolades. They make this hotel a wonderful place to stay.

We recently spent two nights at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Cincinnati and had a really positive experience overall. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with plenty of amenities—everything you’d want for a short family stay. The pool area was adequate and did the job, especially for the kids to burn off some energy. One of the highlights for us was the lower lounge area, which had a pool table, foosball table, and multiple TVs. It gave everyone something to do in the evenings and added a fun, relaxed vibe to the hotel. On top of that, the hotel offers board games to borrow, which came in especially handy when rain rolled in one night. Breakfast was another strong point. There was a nice spread each morning, and we appreciated that the offerings changed slightly day to day to keep things interesting. The service really stood out. The valet team was quick and attentive whenever we needed our vehicle, which made getting in and out easy. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and the manager, Mick, went above and beyond—he was warm, approachable, and provided great recommendations for nearby activities, especially family-friendly options. All in all, this is a solid choice for a family stay in Cincinnati—comfortable, accommodating, and staffed by people who genuinely care about your experience.
Good breakfast and location. It would be nice to have had in and out parking. We used the valet, which provided great service, for a reasonable price. The fitness room was nice but I was disappointed there was not a stationary bike because photos on the website showed one.
Are you a light sleeper or have small children that struggle to sleep? I'd try somewhere else. The noise from the street was unbearable at times and felt like we were right there next to the motorcycles and cars. Bring ear plugs if you don't like noise while trying to sleep. Breakfast offerings were also on the lighter side. But what was there was good. On the positive side, the staff was nice and helpful. Location was good and easy to get to various parts of the city. Was also nice to have a full kitchen in the room. Overall, we wouldn't go back.
