What a beautiful restaurant! The staff was extremely kind and helpful! The chef was awesome and made modifications for me. The only 2 knocks are that the octopus is TINY! And it was chewy. Not terribly chewy but not sous vide tender like I love. The fish special was swordfish with lobster cream and it was delicious! I’d definitely come back!
This is a very very nice restaurant in downtown Cleveland, located on the first floor of the Marriott in Key Tower. Great welcome. Wonderful lay out to the space. Excellent staff. A little pricey, but worth it. Lots of dinner options, some more expensive, some less. The choices were all great. Was a great choice for our anniversary dinner. I had the pork chop. Big portion, superb taste.

From the hostess, to the manager and to our waiter Jesus this one of the best experiences we have ever had. They are all so polite and great at what they do. Dinner started off with bread and an olive oil and spices dip. We ordered the chicken Parm, as well as the rigatoni with pork, sausage and meatballs. The sauce, Pasta and meatballs are all made in house and were so delicious. For drinks, my wife had an espresso martini, and I had the strawberry Mojito and both were spot on. For dessert, my wife got the tiramisu and I got the Panna cotta. Both desserts tasted fresh and are simply amazing. When we booked our reservation And asked if we were celebrating a special occasion to which we replied are our 19th wedding anniversary. Everyone went out of their way to Not only say happy anniversary, but to make sure our dinner was a special event. Do yourself a favor and if you’re in the Cleveland area, stop by this restaurant as you will not be disappointed. Thank you to everyone there who made our dinner so special.
Il Venetian is a white tablecloth Italian restaurant that ranks among the best in Cleveland. Inventive takes on traditional Italian dishes as well as perfect plating makes this restaurant a hit in which to dine. The menu is not large but there are daily specials that round out the selections so that most dietary restrictions are accommodated. Well curated wine list but only a few beers choices. Reservations are a good idea but there is bar seating on a first come basis. Decor is upscale plush modern with some seating including upholstered benches. Everything was comfortable. Lighting was very good and noise levels were low allowing for easy conversation. Service was very good, competent without being fussy and bothersome. Overall Avery good experience and we recommend it. Four and one-half clams ( five google stars) on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.
We celebrated my wife's birthday here, and honestly the place had me entering like I was arriving for a premiere! The ambiance is luxurious and dramatic but still inviting, very main character energy. I really appreciated the mocktail offering that was so delicious without being overly sugary. We shared an arugala, fig, and walnut salad along with Antipasto Il Venetian. The meats, cheeses, and picked vegetables were superbly generous and the mostarda was an amazing glossy jewel of the board. For dinner I had Spaghetti Fra Diavolo, a meal that didn't just arrive at the table; it announced itself! My wife's Lobster Ravioli was rich, lush, buttery pastas in an elegant sauce. Each bite a slow savory unfolding of pure flavor. Affogato and a chef's special dessert of popcorn flavored ice cream topped the evening. We're already excited for the next meal!
