Here's my experience. 1) I went there before to tell them that there was a noise in my vehicle. You walk up to the front and there's normally two guys sitting behind a desk. One of the guys acknowledged me briefly. As I was trying to ask him questions. He looked kind of annoyed because he seemed busy. He would ask me a question, barely even acknowledge and then go back to staring at his computer. The noise ended up stopping and I decided to move on. 2) The issue came back and I decided to give him another try because of the reviews that were pretty good online. I went back and same thing. It felt like they just kind of acknowledge you, but always seem busy and like it's a hassle to deal with you. Feels a bit uncomfortable but I just needed it fixed. 3) I left the vehicle and was told that I would get a call the following day and I didn't get it for 2 days. I didn't care how many days. I just wanted to know if I need to rent a car and I also overheard that someone else said I need my vehicle over the phone and they just try to smooth things over when people just need their vehicle to live their lives. Lol 4) I got a call to go over what was wrong with my vehicle. They send you a text and an invoice with everything that they recommend to fix. Of course they add a few extra things. Instead of answering the phone and just saying these are recommendations and not things that you need to do, they just kind of assume you're just going to take it all. I had to basically let them know to remove a few things for certain reasons. One specifically that they tried to change some filters that were just changed less than 6 months ago which made it seem very questionable. 5) You go to pick up your vehicle and if you try to use your credit card they will charge you 3% and not even let you know until you start running your card. By the way, no you're rights.... Credit vs. Debit: They are strictly prohibited from charging this fee on debit cards, even if you run it as "credit." If you used a debit card and were charged the 3%, that is a violation of their merchant agreement. 6) when I left the place they asked me to scan a QR code to give them a five-star review. I scanned it... But I'm not leaving a five-star review for a company that I don't feel is deserving of it. The only time I felt any kind of kindness and felt like they cared was after they asked for the review. 7) after I left a place it just seemed like the pricing was a little high. I took a picture of the invoice and sent it to AI and basically they said that they charged as much as a dealership. The name is more branding than anything. This is truly my honestly review and if you look at previous reviews of mine, I don't normally leave long ones like this but wanted to warn others of this place. That seems great from the reviews but is honestly in part a bit shady. I also work in Finance so if any of you used a debit card and were charged 3%, you should report it to your bank. I won't take it back but I will day that if my vehicle is fixed and running well then overall it's fine because I felt desperate to get it fixed. Wouldn't recommend this place and hopefully a manager or owner sees my review to tAke action on their stores. Advice: before accepting charges, snapshot your recommendations and pricing, then send it through chatgpt/AI to see if it's reasonable. Also if you take it to this place they're going to charge you $99 just to even look at it and if you don't go with them then they will not refund you back that money.

Thank goodness I took my baby Jeep to Half Price Auto repair! They got my vehicle back on the road and running smoothly all for a reasonable price! I appreciate how the breakdown of what’s needed to be fix comes to you in an easy to understand layout and if you opt out, you are not guilted into doing the repair right away! I appreciate the group of individuals who participate in my repairs!!
I stopped in today to get an oil change and used a Groupon for it. It was no hassle to use the Groupon like some other places will give you. It was a little extra (about 6 dollars because the Groupon doesn't cover taxes and fees) which is no big deal. I think my car is burning too much oil and so they listened carefully to my issue and let me know after I added 3 quarts last week I was still low. They got me coming back in 1500 miles to check the oil level to confirm how much I'm burning and give me a diagnosis. Montana and the other gentleman were really helpful and not pushy with recommended maintenance.
This place was great!! First time I came in and I got my oil changed. Montana was the best! I had my baby with me and he got it done extra fast to accommodate. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend.
They truly are half price! I got a quote from another local shop for a coolant flush and thermostat replacement for $700+. I found Half Price Auto on Groupon by chance, and was quoted $350 for the same service. They did a full car assessment and sent photos along with the quote over text - things I would expect from a high price shop, but was not expecting from a place that offers such great discounts. Super informative and helpful, no bs or upselling, and not a hint of what I like to call the “girl tax”. (Female jeep owners, IFYKYK). I highly recommend this shop if you’re in need of regular maintenance but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg.
