We recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge and overall my kids had a great time. There is a ton for families to do, and the water park keeps kids entertained for hours. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is definitely exciting for younger children. However, there were a few concerns during our stay. The last two times, kids seem to get sick shortly afterward. I understand indoor water parks naturally expose kids to more germs, but I also wonder if the strong chemical smell and indoor environment contribute to it. The chlorine smell throughout the building can be overwhelming at times, especially near the water areas. Cleanliness could also use improvement. The girls’ bathroom near the water park had quite a bit of human hair on the floors during multiple visits throughout the day, which made the area feel less sanitary than expected for the price. Overall, it’s a fun experience and my children always enjoy themselves, but I do think the resort could improve on cleanliness and maintaining a more comfortable indoor environment for families. It will be quite some time before we go back cause of how the kids felt. Maybe this will reach management and things can change.
My daughter had a wonderful time enjoying the water activities, and those experiences were definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable family trip was overshadowed by a very concerning issue that completely changed our experience. During our stay, I noticed what appeared to be a bed bug crawling along the side of the bed. I immediately took a photo and sent it to the front desk so they could address the situation. Rather than taking immediate action, we were told they could not confirm it was a bed bug and that it would take several days for them to determine what it was. Bed bugs are a serious concern, and we wanted to do everything possible to prevent bringing them home. As a result, we had to take extra precautions with our belongings, which added stress, inconvenience, and expense to what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Beyond the inconvenience, the entire situation left us feeling uncomfortable and disgusted. Once you discover a potential bed bug in your room, it's impossible to relax or enjoy the rest of your stay. Instead of making happy family memories, we spent the remainder of our trip worrying about our belongings, inspecting everything, and wondering whether we had been exposed. While my daughter still enjoyed the water activities, the bed bug incident ultimately ruined our overall experience. We expected a clean and safe environment, along with a prompt and reassuring response to such a serious concern. Unfortunately, neither expectation was met, and it left us very disappointed with our stay.

This was my first time here. We are locals and saw that groupon had a great deal on a one night stay that would give us two full days at the park for our family of four. The park was great! We loved all the attractions. I do wish the lazy river wasn't so shallow as this made it so kids could stand and play in it as if it was a regular pool. It seemed to always be over crowded because of this aspect. I also appreciated that they had everything you could possibly need in one shop or another. Although, I think they probably make enough money off everything else that they don't need to charge $5 for water. The room wasn't great. We got a wolf den room for the bunk beds. Our kids are used to sleeping in bunks when we visit someplace. However, these beds are pretty small here. It's definitely designed for much younger kids to stay in this room. The couch and chairs are very uncomfortable. Our room was by the elevator and we could hear people coming and going late into the night. It sounded as if our room didn't even have a door. Kids were constantly running down the halls. We even had someone knock on our door and when I checked no one was there but some kids laughing by the elevator. The shower pressure is way too high, and it leaked from the tub pretty badly. We tried figuring out how to stop it from leaking, but it seemed to be a combination of high pressure from the shower head and a shower curtain that is too short. Also, the pillows are incredibly lumpy. They're not flat, which is great, but it feels like if a pillow did get flat they shove the filling into another flat pillow. This makes for an overfilled, lumpy pillow. Overall, I would probably take advantage of the groupon again in the future but refrain from staying the night.
We loved our stay at Great Wolf Lodge! It was a fun experience for both kids and adults, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. A few recommendations and things to know before you go: - If you’re booking a room, I suggest requesting one on the farthest side of the hotel. We stayed in the very first room on the first floor, and we could hear people—especially kids—running through the hallway, which was a bit noisy. - If you want to ride the River Canyon Run slide, get there as soon as it opens. The line gets long quickly, so arriving early will save you a lot of waiting. - Parking is **not free**. Expect to pay **$20 per night** for parking. - If you want to use a locker at the water park, rentals cost about **$15–$20**. - There is **no complimentary breakfast**. However, there is a Dunkin’ that opens around 7:00am, and Campfire Kitchen also serves breakfast. There’s also a pizza place inside the resort for lunch or dinner. - I did see a cockroach in the lazy river, which was disappointing. - The outdoor pool was busy, and there was quite a bit of sand on the bottom. That’s somewhat understandable since the resort is located in the desert. We ate at Campfire Kitchen and took advantage of the summer dinner deal for **$29**, which included two ribs, chicken tenders, and two sides.It was a great value! I also highly recommend purchasing a **Wolf Pass**. It gives you access to many of the attractions and activities, making the overall experience much more enjoyable and worth the extra cost. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Great Wolf Lodge for a fun family getaway. Just be prepared for a few extra costs and plan ahead to make the most of your visit.
If you have little kids this place is probably the best water park you could go to, but for bigger kids(10+) and teens there is minimal to do beyond several slides. The room was comfy and made for families which I can appreciate, the common areas were well taken care of. Everything the kids will want to do costs money, definitely decided on the pkg at reservation and not onsite. The buffet while pricey, was delicious. Hours are a little weird for a kid ran establishment, you would think breakfast would start earlier. Infact that might be one of my biggest complaints is the hours of operation for the attractions and dining. 730am for buffet, 630 for Dunkin, 10am for inside water park/11 for outside. I spent the majority of my time outside by the "lagoon" and this is the only area that didn't seem maintained. The number of tables without umbrellas seemed ridiculous in Arizona, maybe that was on purpose so you'd want to rent a $$$$ cabana? Idk but that and the fact that there were only 2 trash cans (one was overfull almost the entire 4hrs I was out there) caused a lot of bird issues. Pigeons and the like were everywhere. Also, the property while having great wifi, does not have a lot/any public outlets so those parents who may need to plug in for work while indulging their kids at the water park better come prepared with a battery pack.
