I recently switched to Northside dental when my prior dentist retired and, honestly, I wish I had done it sooner. The team is so nice and responsive, from the dentists to the specialists to the entire office staff. Lovely group of folks that makes being at the dentist for any procedure easy.
I went in for a cleaning. Dental hygienist was pleasant, knowledgeable, personable and thorough with the cleaning. Front staff is professional, helpful, and considerate of your time. Dr Agran is patient, caring, good at his job, and has strong interpersonal skills. It’s a very well run office.
New client. Location is very clean, and done in the same gray color I have on my walls at home. Lol! So I found it calming from the start. The place is abuzz and the front desk staff is polite, and willing to accommodate you. I had to wait a few months to get in, as I was a transfer client from a previously retired dentist, and this is where he sent my records. So, as a new client I had a tad of a wait. I will say, though, that they are gentle on the teeth and I have experienced little to NO pain, which is great. When I was a child I had braces on my teeth, and I hated the tightening of my braces, and the thick sausage -like fingers of the doctor entering my mouth and leaving me sore and sensitive for days. My previous dentist and this current location made sure to make me enjoy taking care of my teeth, as there is little to no pain with them, and I like going to the dentist. I know, WEIRD! Anything they need to do to me or my teeth is fully explained beforehand, and I am able to voice my opinion. They are always sure to check for my comfort level during a cleaning or redoing a filling, and are efficient and polite. While there may be some slight discomfort during a procedure, they will make you aware before they start AND they are gentle during the proceedings, always making sure to ask how you are doing/feeling. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because of the wait I had to endure in order to get in, but once I was on the books, it has not been difficult to get in as needed. Will definitely be back to review in the year ahead. All in all, a good place to come to care for your teeth.

Overall, much of the service here has been very good. The offices are clean and everybody’s very nice. But there’s something shady going on in their billing department and I don’t trust them. And this is all led by the dentist who owns the company. The woman who runs billing is very kind, but I get charges for things I never expected. I was by her told that a crown replacement would cost nothing. Later, I was sent an invoice for thousands of dollars and was told they had made a mistake. Lots of apologies were made and they promised a discount on the service which turned out to be more expensive than another reputable dentist I eventually went to. I am not going back to Northside. A couple months later I get another unexpected bill in the mail for about a hundred dollars. I had several conversations with the billing department to be sure this wouldn’t keep happening. I just don’t trust them.
I always have a great experience at Northside Dental! Pamela was very thorough and was careful and accommodating with my extremely sensitive teeth. I always recommend Northside Dental when friends are looking for a new dentist!
