Excellent customer service, clean rooms and central location. There's a chic fila across the parking lot which makes for quick and healthy dining, especially when traveling for business. The Bee theme of the hotel is very unique and whimsical. Rooms are clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Will definitely come back again.
The Mecklen is centrally located in Charlotte, NC. The property is pristine and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and esthetically appealing. There is a restaurant onsite called The SIDE EYE scrumptious… I recommend the avocado toast for breakfast. Everything is delicious though. The staff is attentive and friendly. When you go to the bar ask for James he will give you the in on everything. When you go the restaurant ask for Cynthia….she is ready to serve with a smile. She made sure I had everything I needed without asking. The Mecklen is a time to be had…come and stay a while❤️❤️❤️

A wonderful hotel. The hotel is newer and very nice. Thomas at the front desk was great and made checking a breeze. The bar and restaurant in the lobby was great Brooke was excellent and Madison was also very nice. My only issue was the parking had a fee and was not included in the taxes and fees when booking via Bonvoy App. Other than that I would stay at this hotel in the future.
Great hotel, not the best surroundings (other than Nakato across the street, great option for dinner without driving). The rooms were pleasant and spacious, the bathrooms were nicely finished with a great shower. Didn't try the bar or restaurant but they looked pleasant. Would def stay again.
I specifically chose this property because I wanted an upscale experience, but I really wish I’d just booked a different Marriott in Charlotte. I could've stayed much closer to my event but splurged on this hotel a little further out. The photos make this place look high-end, but in reality, it’s just a very average, mid-range hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny, though I will say the bathroom itself was nice and the water pressure was great. However, for the price they’re charging, I didn't expect to find broken ice machines on three different floors or a bar with no draft beer. The service was perfectly fine and the staff was polite, but there was nothing 'extra' or exceptional about the stay. It’s a 3.5-star hotel at best. I’d stay here again if the price dropped significantly, but otherwise, there are much better Marriott options nearby for the same money. Location is nice as it is close to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
