I booked a stay for my parents and overall the property itself is beautiful. The rooms and facilities are excellent, and much of the staff provided the level of hospitality the Peninsula is known for. The front desk was also helpful in providing us a upgraded room and a thoughtful welcome amenity recognizing the anniversary we were celebrating. However, we had a frustrating experience with the spa. Before booking a massage, we specifically asked the spa receptionist about pricing and was told that spa services were free for hotel guests. Based on that information we scheduled an appointment. When the message was scheduled, no price was mentioned and the receptionist only asked for the room number. After the massage, we were informed it cost $295. When we raised the issue, the spa director stated that complimentary massages are never offered and suggested that we must have misheard, and the front desk described the situation as us "claiming" the massage was complimentary. While I understand spa treatments normally have a cost, what was disappointing was less the charge itself and more the tone of the interaction, which implied that we had misunderstood or misrepresented the earlier conversation rather than treating it as a possible miscommunication. The property itself is wonderful, but I would recommend confirming spa treatment pricing clearly before booking.
ATTENTION to details means everything. This hotel is by far one of my new favorite hotels downtown. My husband and I try to stay at a new hotel three times a year. This one definitely didn't disappoint us at all. The bed was so comfy and the little cute cupcake just made my husband's birthday a little more fun. Hands down the BEST slippers we've ever been given at a hotel. Definitely a 10/10 with service and style (we will be back soon)🤗.

This was the greatest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. At the check in desk, a nice employee upgraded us (we had a room for two people and we were four people) to a suite. Although the pool was closed for maintenance, the whole package was nothing I’ve ever experienced. The bathrooms had complementary slippers, toothbrushes, hair combs, and so much more. The beds were very comfortable. Overall 5 star experience!
If I can give this place a 0 I would. What my family and I experienced at this hotel was complete devastation. What we expected to be an amazing 40th birthday / 10 year wedding anniversary turned into a complete nightmare and it all started when we checked our vehicle into valet. Within 24hours into our stay, our car was stolen while in the hands of the hotel / valet services. Everyone involved seemed to be apologetic until it was turned over into the hands of the companies insurance. Not only do they speak to us as if we’re the criminal , they feel no need to compensate us for the loss we endured while the car was in the hotels possession. Not only are we at such a huge loss with our vehicle - some of our families belongings were stolen with the truck. Be very careful when checking into this hotel. They will take your vehicle and park it in a garage and will NOT notify you. Lo and behold our car was stolen 3 days before we checked out and had no clue. The hotel will take all your money and not one bit care about your safety. They’ve done nothing for us It is now 3 months and we are still dealing with this situation and it just keeps getting worse. Find yourself a different hotel.
First time staying here and honestly very disappointed. We booked two rooms for one night through Expedia for about $1,367. After the stay, we were double charged. Part of the additional amount later turned out to be room service and minibar charges, which I understand. However, there is one tequila charge that I do not recognize at all. We do not drink alcohol. After noticing this tequila charge weeks later, I contacted the hotel again specifically about it and never received a response. Throughout this entire situation, we also did not receive a proper apology. The checkout morning experience was also unacceptable. Between around 9 and 10 a.m., three different housekeepers came to our room within a short period of time. One entered without knocking and loudly asked, “WHAT TIME ARE YOU LEAVING???” This happened well before the 12 p.m. checkout time and felt rude and intrusive. Between being double charged, the unresolved tequila charge, the lack of response, and the way housekeeping handled checkout, this did not feel like a five star hotel at all. Very surprising given the reputation.
