Hart Plaza

Hart Plaza was a beautiful spot to sit and relax or view the Riverwalk. Beautiful views no matter what day or night. Very calm and serene. I was there while an event was going on so there were vendors good and music as well. I absolutely loved the fountain! ..and when I say fountain it is NOT like any other! Very large sculptural and artistic one of a kind fountain. Very beautiful water feature that highlighted the space right at the center of the plaza There is a Riverboat to book a lake/dinner cruise on. There are walking paths that lead to the Riverwalk which would be great for an evening stroll or a morning run. People and families were utilizing the area and there was plenty of room to enjoy the space on your own or in a group.

Such a beautiful place to walk through when exploring downtown Detroit. I loved how the whole area feels open, connected, and full of life, with the Detroit Riverfront just nearby. One of the things that stood out to me was the large Joe Louis fist monument. It is powerful to see in person, and it gives the plaza a strong sense of Detroit’s history and pride. Across the street, many people also stop to take photos with the Spirit of Detroit statue, which is another beautiful landmark in the area. What I really enjoyed is that you can walk from Hart Plaza into the city, visit the nearby playground if you have children, and continue toward the Detroit Riverfront. The whole area feels vibrant, walkable, and connected. It’s a lovely place for photos, a peaceful walk, city views, and a little taste of Detroit’s character
