Frequent Traveler 75 stays minimum a year. Let me start by thanking Trastevia, the front desk Supervisor at the Laura, 5 star service! They need to rename the hotel to "The Trastevia", she understands the assignment. My family stayed at the hotel for the 4th of July weekend and we had a blast. Rooms were clean & spacious, towels were fresh, and steamy shower water along with perfect water pressure. Hotel has an eclectic atmosphere. Great decor with a musical vibe. Celebrating our anniversary we received complimentary dessert and champagne, they really know how to make a person feel welcome and appreciated. Did I mention "The Trastevia" (Laura) comes with access to Lifetime Fitness. What are you waiting for book now. Pros: Clean rooms Fresh towels Spacious room Steamy shower Great water pressure Lifetime fitness Food tasty Cons: Valet could be quicker Pool closes at 8 Kitchen close at 11pm Update tv technology Robes If management would like more information reach out and we can connect. 😎 Byrd I only do 5 star reviews Trastevia 5 stars Hotel Laura 3.5 stars
We chose this hotel for the night after our wedding. The hotel was in a great location all of the employees we interacted with were great, however we did have a difficult time with our service 3 time in particular during our stay. We felt as though we could never get a hold of anyone. We initially called to the front desk/guest services multiple times to see if they offered ice buckets to our room and even walked down to the front desk however the line was very long. We also paid for valet parking and were instructed to order 5-10 mins before heading downstairs and that our car would be ready. We ordered the valet 10 minutes before heading down and waited an additional 30 minute. We only received our car when my husband went to ask the valet people in person. Lastly my husband forgot his suit jacket in our hotel room after we checked out. We tried calling multiple times to ask the process of retrieving lost belongings. We called from 2 phones multiple times each and never received a response much less a call back. This is not an experience I would’ve expected from a Marriott hotel. Please work on your customer service and responsiveness. NOT worth staying here.

My best friend and I celebrated our birthdays with a stay at the Laura Hotel Downtown, and we had an amazing experience! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and the perfect atmosphere for a birthday getaway. The rooftop pool bar was a highlight, and Demont and Christian provided exceptional service with their friendliness and attentiveness, making our celebration even more special. We can’t wait to come back!
We recently stayed at The Laura Hotel in downtown Houston to celebrate our wedding, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. When we mentioned we had just gotten married, the hotel kindly upgraded our room, which made our stay even more special. The staff was consistently polite, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. As a thoughtful touch, the hotel also brought complimentary glasses to help us celebrate, which we really appreciated. The room itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with a very relaxing atmosphere. The shower had plenty of hot water and great pressure, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely choose to stay here again the next time we visit Houston.
I recently stayed here and had a fantastic experience. I walked in and was greeted by friendly front desk staff, Tai, and the fresh smell of santal. My room was extra clean and spacious, and perfectly decorated with modern furnishings. The dining options inside the hotel were excellent as well- Chef Ricardo and our server Tanisha went above and beyond when we dined in at Hull & Oak. The bacon Mac and cheese is a must. The happy hour menu and service at the bar was amazing. The valet guys were quick to retrieve my car and very respectful when I initially arrived and checked out. I’d recommend The Laura to anyone who can afford an elevated stay. I hope to be back soon!
