Long Cove Resort is THE BEST spot on LKW. I've lived locally for years and had the absolute pleasure of discovering this place this past fall/winter. The cabins are so cute and charming and extremely clean with all of the essentials provided for guests. The grounds are great as well. My kids loved playing at the Resorts seasonal "Christmas Village" and the waterfront beach with the sunsets should be obligatory for everyone. The staff was professional, kind, and quick to assist with any requests. The manager Dan went above and beyond. I've already told all my friends about this hidden gem and miss it there already.
Great little weekend trip! Really enjoyed ourselves. We went as a couple, a nice weekend away. Our tiny cabin had a view of the lake. We went in December and it was cold outside. We promise to return in warmer weather! Pros: the view. Ease of checking in and out. General cleanliness of the cabin. WiFi. Cons: our main bed had a cheap metal frame and for 2 people who total 500 lbs it was a hope and prayer that it did not break in the middle of our sleep.

I thought this place was cheap and cheesy until I seen it in person, the cabins are awesome (way better than any hotel room) as well as the location and surroundings! Oh, if your a spiritual person, ghost hunter, ETC. You will more than likely find more than your looking for here! You can def feel presence and interaction here (I'm thinking from first settlers and native Americans possibly?) Anyways, weather your here to touch base with the spirits or cook out with yor family or just want something un-ordinary, this place is awesome!
The perfect little getaway right on Lake Wylie! We stayed in Cottage #14, which has two bedrooms plus a loft, along with a spacious private deck and grill—ideal for relaxing and gathering. It is a bit rustic, like a nice camping place with cute cabins. During our stay, we rented kayaks, lounged on the beach, swam, and even watched a movie by the fire pit on their outdoor screen. Such a fun and charming spot, whether you’re planning a girlfriend’s trip, a couples retreat, or a group getaway.
The pictures don’t do this place justice. Could NOT be more gorgeous!! Highly recommend cottage #14 if you want an amazing deck with spectacular views. Many other great choices on the water as well. Dan and Hanna have been extremely helpful from booking, through preparing, through our entire stay, plus kayaking!! If you’re looking for an awesome getaway, on beautiful lake Wylie, THIS is your place!
