The lobby is elegant! Our room was cozy and clean. The bathtub was a bit worn, but all was fine. It had some dining spots inside, but was also conveniently close to some great breakfast spots and Ritual House, an amazing restaurant for lunch or dinner. The area was relatively quiet on a Sunday and Monday. We would stay there again!
My husband and I stayed at the William Penn last week for the Dodgers series at PNC Park, and we had such a great stay! Rodney greeted us with a smile as soon as we pulled in for Valet Service, he was very sweet, and welcomed us back when we said this was our second time staying. We had also shared a very brief moment with Mark in the elevator while he was taking luggage to another guest, and he was so funny and had such a great personality, he left a great impression on us just being in the elevator! The room was beautifully done and had a nice view of the fountain across the street. My only note is that the half and half creamer for the coffee in the room was very chunky, making it unappealing to drink. We had breakfast in the Terrace Room on our last day, and Teddy took great care of us. Torell was also great, always had a smile for us while making sure our drinks were well taken care of as we enjoyed our breakfast. The hotcakes with blueberry sauce were incredible, and my husband got the Pittsburgh style Benedict. He said the hollandaise was the best he has ever had! The walk from the Omni to PNC Park was so convenient as well, such a great distance to really get a good vibe of the city. We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely come back again!

This place is amazing ! It’s so charming and beautiful inside and out. We felt welcomed from the moment we pulled the car up for valet until the moment we left. The service is top notch and all of the employees are very friendly. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our room had a massive walk in closet and spacious bathroom which was super convenient !! Anytime we needed fresh towels, extra trash bags etc… it was always sent right up immediately to our room. There are so many nice restaurants within walking distance and it’s about a 15 minute walk to PNC Park and the North Shore area. The bellboy Rodney is so kind and helped us with our luggage’s when we arrived and departed. The Mellon Square coffee shop has great macchiatos and pastries for breakfast. The only downside to this place is you do get charged for every little thing. They didn’t offer free WiFi and sometimes the connection wasn’t the best while we were in our room. Parking is also kind of expensive… but you get what you pay for and we were happy with the services overall. My husband and I frequent Pittsburgh about 4 times a year and we will be back! Thank you for a wonderful trip and experience.
While pricy for a night, it was worth it. Lobby was breath taking, restaurants were beautiful and the staff were very helpful. We got valet parking for $59. We ended up paying for breakfast which was a surprise. I think we could have gone elsewhere for the included breakfast. There are several eateries on the premises. I hope this place remains a hotel another 110 years. It is a treasure.
A nice hotel, though if I ever return to Pittsburgh again I wouldn't stay at the Omni William Penn again. I think there are better options nearby for the same price or less. It's an historic hotel with a lot of history and they seem to be doing well to maintain it. The location is perfect and the gym was surprisingly well-appointed. The service was average. I couldn't use the desk in my room because of dead power outlets. The beds are decidedly subpar, akin to something in a budget motel; no plush linens with a mattress that you seem to float on. The bed was closer to a pull out sofa mattress: thin and edgy, as if telling you not to sleep there. There's no pool or sauna or hot tub. The decor feels a couple of centuries old, which is wonderful if you like that sort of thing. There are strange metal contraptions in the headboard which I mistook for reading lights. I could not find any purpose for them, so I guess they are simply a decorative embellishment.
