Loved this place, the ambiance was amazing however the food was okay. I had the salmon and it was good but the sauce was more flavorful than the salmon. Overall Amazing experience and the service was great!
The food was so good! I will becoming back. And our waitress, Barbie, did an exceptional job. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations! Cornbread was a table fav for sure!
It has been a long week, and this was just what we needed. Barbie made this experience spectacular. She was welcoming, and knew the menu very well. There wasn’t one thing Barbie recommended that we didn’t like. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself and ask for her section. She will not disappoint. That lamb shank is chefs kiss, again we didn’t have anything bad but my oh my… Oh and don’t forget the cornbread!

Toya, our server was absolutely AWESOME! She had great food suggestions, great personality, and warned us to try and order before a few big parties that entered after us. Food definitely redeemed itself from my first experience at Pangea. Had beef suya and oxtail empanadas as apps, very tasty. Tried the Have Merci (again) and Bayou classic. Have Merci was exactly as it should have been the first time. Moist, tender chicken with well seasoned veggies and braise. Bayou fish plate was good also - redfish with dirty rice and shrimp/crawfish Cajun cream sauce. Ordered the greens first, sent those back as I’m not a fan of straight turnip greens especially not seasoned like I do mine at home. Traded those for the Brussels, which were seasoned better, could have been a bit more crispy. Overall, food was good. Atmosphere was decent… very warm inside, was told AC needed to be serviced after asking about the temp. We noticed we didn’t have a light on our table like the other tables after I noticed a gnat bouncing around my plate. Thank God it didn’t get in my food (that I know of…). Order an old fashion and a Rio gimet with vodka for drinks… could have done without both.
We had a good experience overall at Pangea. The food was really good, and everything we ordered was delicious. The atmosphere was a vibe! They had a DJ playing music, which made for a fun dinner experience. It was a little warm inside the restaurant, but the energy and music made it enjoyable. The only downside was the wait. It took a while for our food to arrive, and our entrées actually came out before our appetizer, which was a little odd. The staff was friendly, though, and the food was worth the wait. If you’re driving, valet is available, and it’s customary to tip the valet attendant. I’d definitely come back for the food and the overall atmosphere!
