This is a great location to have indoor fun. At times it is busy but the kids thrive in the chaos. The museum offers discounted parking and it is free on the weekends which makes it even more appealing for families. The new water play area is a lot of fun and always a highlight during our visits. The doctors area and the vet office are staple spaces that children keep coming back to along with the kitchen which sparks so much creativity and pretend play. There truly seems to be something for every child which makes it easy to spend a few hours exploring. The museum has expanded with different exhibits over the years and it has been fun to see how it continues to grow and improve each time we visit. Local libraries also offer free passes for the day which is a great way to enjoy the museum without added cost.
We really enjoyed it here. So fun! So bright! So much to do. Loved the open floor plan. Staff was super friendly. We went as a field trip & it was a great experience. The room we were in was convenient & was really great for lunch & breaks. Cons... Entrance to the museum is sketchy. Restrooms are in a shared hallway & are not convenient. (Especially for parents who go alone with more than one child.) I don't think adults without children should be allowed to play freely in a designated children's space. Unless you wanna walk, you have to park in the deck; which is not free on the weekdays. If you go as a field trip, they give you a voucher, but it doesn't cover the entire cost unless you are a member.

I've come here with my kids about a dozen times the past two years. Pros: In general, it's a good spot to entertain my kids and it's affordable. They change exhibits from time to time, which is great. We love the music room and wind tubes area. I also appreciate that there's a nice nursing room for moms with littles. Cons: Restrooms are a long walk from everything (not great for newly potty trained toddlers)! And some areas seem a little dirty, but that's maybe to be expected at children's museums. Also we're members - we were surprised and a little offput when we found out there weren't any discounts to attend the museum's special events for members. Overall the museum is worth checking out for littles (ages 18 months to 8), but there are some minor downsides.
Pros- Overall many fun interactions. Lots for young kids to do. Cons- Super dirty. Kids clothing was black when we left. Bathrooms far away. It was 75 degrees outside and indoors was much warmer than outside temps. Children much older than 8 were running through the young kids and climbing on toys designed for small kiddos.
For the price of admission this place is great. The space at first seemed a little small but it wasn't too crowded and it was packed full of lots of different things to do for all ages. Some of the exhibits could use a bit of repairs but the majority are in great shape and fun for kids and adults. The biggest hit was the water area. They have a large private party space and this would make a great locations for a young kids birthday. Parking is easy on the weekends as the attached garage is free. If you have a stroller or anything, park on the entry or upper floors as the lowers ones only have a staircase to the ground floor where the museum is located.
