The best sunset I’ve had in recent times. Clean place and nicely maintained park. Morning to night 10pm ticket costed us $10 and it was worth it. Not a lot of food options inside the park - so you’ve go out to get some food. Take your own chairs to hangout.
I don't remember seeing any picnic tables... only a couple benches. Bathroom facilities are available. Very relaxing atmosphere. Good spot to watch big freighters go by.
On your right: Detroit, on your left: Windsor — Canada is just a stone’s throw away! 🌆🌊 A perfect spot to soak in stunning views + an international vibe all in one frame ✨📸

I wish it was trimmed, cleaned up a bit better but it's a cute spot to take a date and sit and watch over the city of Detroit as the sun sets. It's kinda windy sometimes so be prepared. Have a picnic. Bring a tent like I've seen out here and cash in on your cute date /picnic idea right there at the park but don't get caught. 😜. Close your tent door and keep quiet with the noises.
Belle Isle is clean, friendly and fun now that the DNR is maintaining and patrolling this wonderful Jewel in Detroit. Plenty of parking, so much to do and easy to get to. Don't forget to go down the big yellow slide and visit the fountain and museum.
