Beautiful, grand, atrium-style hotel with gardens, fountains, restaurants, and shops greeting you upon entry. This place is massive, but great for families and offers a nice serene way to wake up, by walking through the green spaces in search of food or coffee. Kids have plenty of space to run around and be entertained, which is wonderful if you are traveling and they need to get dome energy out first. My kids particularly love the music synchronized fountains. The rooms are small but very clean and the beds are comfortable. Rooms are quiet other than you can hear the doors slamming shut from the rooms around yours. Soft close doors would be a vast improvement to the sleeping quarters. I highly recommend a room with a balcony, if it is in your budget, as it offers the serenity of sitting and gazing over a small, beautifully landscaped, little village, which is not something you can experience at most hotels. The service is good, not amazing, 4 out of 5 stars. The holiday decorations and lights interwoven with the gardens and fountains are stunning. My family loves to stay here when we are in the Nashville area at Christmas time, to really feel the magic and beauty of the season. The cost is on the higher side, but fairly priced considering you are also paying for an experience and the convenience of proximity to food, shopping, and entertainment. Unfortunately, there is not a lot to do surrounding the hotel, but Nashville is a relatively quick city to get around and you are roughly 15 minutes from downtown.
We had a great stay at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville. The hotel is very comfortable and spacious, and the atmosphere inside is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was that the pool area was extremely crowded. Overall, it was still a very nice experience.

Just got back from 2 nights. Extremely crowded! They are not equipped to handle that many people! (Open to the public, not just resort guests) 30 minute waits for any coffee/market purchases. Good luck finding seating. If you do, it’ll be dirty. They had zero service people. Of course everything was overpriced. 10.00 for a bottled beer. (I get resort prices, but this place isn’t that special.) Room service was too overwhelmed to use the first night. Planned for breakfast to be delivered the next morning, but I was going to be an hour late so we cancelled. Don’t bother trying getting into the nice restaurants without reservations made prior to the trip. We made them for Ravello, but that was a huge disappointment. 245.00 bill for mediocre food for three. Charged for parking with the room and while leaving the lot. Over 80 bucks for two nights. Still have to call to resolve that. The place is beautiful and has wonderful decorations. Would probably be better with atrium view. The gift shop was the biggest part of the Ice attraction. Maybe better for little ones. Not worth it for Christmas.
Visiting the Gaylord Resort is an experience in and of itself. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have multiple restaurants on site along with plenty of activities from water parks to spas. There are also off site facilities and activities. The rooms a very comfortable with ample space. My room was clean and all the furniture was in good condition. The food at the restaurants was very good. My only two complaints are the lack of television stations in my room and the sometimes absorbent price of water or drinks within the hotel. All and all it is a great luxury experience I enjoy each time I stay.
Overall great stay. I feel like as a resort hotel they should offer higher quality room amenities for coffee options and bathroom products as well as additional towels and washcloths, we had 4 people staying and only had 3 washcloths and 2 hand towels. The check in take entirely too long and they should have a way to avoid the long lines by offering digital check in and digital keys for the rooms. Overall the stay was great just some things you feel would a given in a resort hotel with the price paid to stay. The Christmas offering for kids and families is amazing and we did have a great time.
