For sure the place is very historic architectural was very nice, lots of antique pictures all very nice….. except two things that I did not like. Breakfast was none satisfactory, everything is on croissant like sausage, egg, and cheese felt like all was done on a microwave but not only was not satisfactory for $15.00 the lady server didn’t seem very happy to be there and the order was all wrong. I was there for my son’s wedding, so apparently at the bar they don’t carry Corona beer luckily I had one left that I brought down to the party….so this lady at the bar notice I had it, so she immediately came to me from across the room at the party and with a strong voice said “you cant have that in here” and ran to this other guy that was across from my table and he came to me and said “ sir you can’t have that in here” and took it from me. Myself im thinking, people pay big money to do a wedding at least have a little bit more professionalism when you are talking to customers. I feel that, that should’ve been handled in a way better manner and professional.
Remarkable Hotel and Event Venue. Held the Wedding Ceremony and Reception for our daughter June 2024. The service and Historic Architecture and Grounds were perfect scenic backdrops to our wonderful event. Hosting out of town guests, staying in rooms at the hotel made the event even more enjoyable and relaxing. By having the entire wedding and reception at one location spared us having to run from ceremony venue to photo locations and then to reception. It made our special day ideal.

Recently enjoyed a one-night stay at the Mansions on Fifth, actually at the next door Amberson House, not the main mansion. The home is 120 years old but has been well maintained and updated/renovated over the years, of course. My only critique would be the staff itself, which could use a course in professionalism. No one was particularly personable or friendly, although we did not have a great deal of interaction with them. Just a bit off-putting.
My wife and I got married here last year and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is gorgeous, food was great, but the biggest of all was how incredibly kind and helpful the staff were. They took so much stress off of us and made the day so wonderful.
I booked 2 nights recently and we all loved this place - full of histories and stories. Location is fantastic, walking distance to CMU, St. Paul Cathedral, Heinz Memorial Chapel and more. The staffs are super nice, including Anthony and Liz from the bar and restaurant. As Asian people, we drink hot water and Liz and Anthony helped fill our hot water bottles during our stay. On our check-out day, we ran into the Customer Relation Manager who are super nice as well. The reason I gave 4 star for our room is due to the old structure of the mansion - we can hear noises from other rooms, but that is okay as this is a historical mansion. We totally understand it. Thank you all and we will come back :)
