Hilton Midtown Atlanta is a nice hotel, and the location works well if you're here for business or have duties nearby. For that purpose, it's convenient. Otherwise, personally, I'd probably stay somewhere else. The area can become very quiet at night, and I didn't feel particularly comfortable walking around late. Another downside is food. Many nearby restaurants cater to the office crowd and close after business hours. Weekends are even worse if you're trying to find a decent place to eat nearby. As for the hotel itself, the rooms are decent and comfortable enough. But the biggest headache is the elevators. At busy times, especially when there's an event, it can take up to 20 minutes just to get back to your room. On some occasions, they even allowed us to use the service elevator because the wait was so bad. Overall, good for a business stay because of the location, but not somewhere I'd choose for a leisure trip to Atlanta.
We came Trader Vic’s with a group of 40 individuals for a company gathering. Mrs. Samantha Sue and Chef Julio ensured that we were well taken care of! Service was absolutely amazing. Staff were courteous and prompt. The food was so delicious. Chef Julio really out did himself. Food was not only beautifully prepared but soulfully flavorful. Atmosphere really sets the mood for a great time out. 10 out of 10 would recommend this location.

Parking is pretty horrendous here. If your vehicle is over 6 foot, they cannot accommodate you except with 60 dollar a day valet. If you need to valet your 'oversized' vehicle, its limited and runs out of space. If YOU are over 6 foot, walking in their parking garage is genuinely hazardous. The hotel nickle and dimes you, so parking isn't included in the very high room price. They will claim this is a feature to reduce room costs, rather than them harvesting their customers for more money. The concessions are expensive. The rooms were suitably clean, but a bit worn. The grout in the room's bathroom shower was chipping and stabbed my feet several times. Broken tile was pressed back in place and skim grouted, leaving sharp edges in the ceramic even if the grout was staying in place. The location is exceptional and Atlanta has done a good job with bike and scooter paths. Those are pretty much the hotel's only strong points for most travelers. Elsewise, the room is nothing to write home about and the parking situation is genuinely the worst I have ever seen outside of New York. The only saving grace here is you can take MARTA to Peachtree center and walk half a mile, most of it indoors via sky bridges, to the hotel through the Marriot. I'll try the Marriot next time.
The staff was very helpful and friendly! I enjoyed the restaurants and bars. Bed was very comfortable. They were able to accomodate me to a nice room at midnight after dealing with horrible service at the Marriot for giving away my room and then blaming it on me for checking in late. Thank you Hilton and staff for being flexible and accommodating with my on the spot booking.
Huge disappointment. We had a 4-night stay booked but ended up leaving after just one night due to health and safety concerns. Our first room was outdated, paint smelled faintly of cigarettes, and the smoke detectors/fire sprinklers looked old and worn. The bathroom was below the standard, I've come to expect from Hilton. We called and asked for a new room, staff were nice and moved us to the executive floor, but it wasn't much better. Crumbs on the hallway carpet, elevator doors that barely closed, and the new room had the same cigarette smell and dated fixtures. The air in the room was also extremely stale and never really cooled down, which combined with the smell made it hard for all three of us to breathe at night. We all have asthma and were wheezing for most of the night, so we made the call to leave for our health. On top of that, parking was $40/night for this experience. Cleanliness should be a baseline standard, not an afterthought. It felt like this property has been painting over issues instead of actually renovating. We ended up booking at the Signia by Hilton Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center instead, cleaner, more spacious, and no lingering smoke smell. Would not recommend this location, especially if anyone in your group has respiratory issues.
