The little park area the monuments are in is nice and looks like they try to up keep it and make it look amazing. There are several statues in the park. It has a nice artistic feel to it. I only gave four stars because of the one small area where it looked like a group of people were just sitting around smoking weed. ( Don't really care, but you can only get so high and there were kids around trying to play)
A tranquil place amidst the city. There’s plenty of greenery, beautiful flowers, and birds to enjoy. With the table seating and shade, this could also make a great place to do some work on a computer, read a book, or talk over coffee. The best part, it’s free! And if you get hungry or bored, there’s an awesome Indian restaurant adjacent to the monument and a museum of illusions a block away. June 1/ June 3, 2024

The Books Monument in downtown Charlotte, known as the Grand Entry Book Columns, is a striking public art installation featuring towering bronze sculptures of oversized books. Created by sculptor Jim Gallucci in 2003, the monument pays homage to literature and invites visitors to explore a world of timeless stories
Cool sculptures, but they seem to be the only books I can find in uptown because I couldn’t find any proper book stores here. Sadly they can’t even be read.
Small little green space. It's not a park or playground but just a bit of green space with a large book statue and fish fountain. If your walking around town or have a break during a convention it's a nice little place to relax and take in the sights
