Justin from Fritz Baumann & Sons replaced our water-driven, backup sump pump. The whole process from initial phone call to completed job went smoothly. As our job was not an emergency, our schedule was flexible. They kept us informed as the schedule shifted to the next day, then showed up on time and completed the job neatly. We're happy with the installation. We called many plumbers to replace this water-driven sump pump and only Fritz Baumann would accept the job. If you have a water-driven sump pump that needs to be replaced, this is the plumber to call.
Purchased a sump pump with battery backup, also opted for the wi-fi adapter to receive alerts should anything go wrong with either pump (better safe than sorry!). Justin did the installation and couldn’t have been nicer. Knowledgeable, friendly, wore shoe protectors in the house - checked all of the boxes. The work was timely, done with care, he even showed me how it worked before sealing it back up (radon detector requires a sealed cover). Note that even before Justin, I spent at least 20 minutes or so on the phone with Brett, walking him through what I was looking for, he was patient, described the options, and quickly found time to come out and perform the work. I’d reach out to the Baumann team any time!

Nice people, but they heavily misrepresented the price for a pressure leak test on my food truck. I spent hours calling different companies to compare prices. The cheapest flat rate I found elsewhere was $200, so I was excited when Fritz Baumann and Sons told me they could do it for $120, plus extra if repairs were needed. That sounded fair. I was very surprised when the final bill came out to $258 after the inspection. At that point I was told they charge $96 per hour plus other fees. None of that was explained on the phone when I booked the service. If I had been told upfront that this was an hourly job, I would not have chosen them. The plumber did not appear to work with any urgency, which is especially concerning given that the job was billed hourly without being disclosed in advance. What bothered me most was not just the higher price, but the miscommunication and their lack of accountability for it. I spent a lot of time calling around trying to save money, only to end up paying more because the quoted price was not accurate. I also had already told other food truck owners they seemed like the cheaper option, and then had to go back and correct myself. Their replies to other low-star reviews already show a pattern: deflect, excuse, deny accountability. I fully expect the same here, if they respond at all. If you're a food truck I'd recommend Be Ohio or Parsons Plumbing who have a flat $200 rate.
Called on Monday to schedule service for a sump pump blockage. Was scheduled for service on Wednesday and received the call earlier than expected. Jake came out, found and resolved the issue and was great to communicate with. Will call them again for any future plumbing service needs.
Met Blair through a friend so I’ve been giving this place my business the past few years. Does good work but will nickel and dime you to the point of no return. Had a T&P valve replaced, 30 minute job. Was charged $121.50 for a $67 part, also charged $5.98 for Teflon tape and $8.99 for pipe dope for a job with 2 threads. I thought the $121 was a mistake and called and was assured that was the MSRP for the part. Called Worley and was told otherwise. I was fine paying for the service charge and an hour of work for a quick job but getting overcharged on the parts and lied to I am not. I will be looking for a different company next time I need plumbing work.
