Had a lovely afternoon at the Inn on Negley for tea with my mother and my two kids. My 9 year old son declared it the best restaurant he's ever been to - but I don't know a kid that wouldn't say that after the delicious hot cocoa, grilled cheese, and his choice of 3 different types of cookies. The adult tea choices were also amazing with 3 sandwiches, 2 scones and a bunch of mini desserts. It was a great way to start our afternoon before heading over to the museums. Would love to come back again soon!
Great tea and delicious high tea. Also great service. The only thing was when we got there the front door was locked and we had to use a call button and wait for it to ring over and over to even get in. And they asked what was needed when they answered. Well what do you think we need? We had a reservation for high tea. That wasnt very professional or welcoming. Other than that it was really good.

I did not want to write this review but I reached out to the inn for resolution and never received a response. I felt the need to write this to hopefully prevent other patrons from having this experience. We booked the inntimate evening for two package with the understanding that it included the wine/cheese, cake, breakfast in our suite, and a late checkout. Then when we reached out to the inn to confirm a week before our reservation, we were assured that we could get this package on Sunday even though we were staying saturday and Sunday. We were told we had to pay extra for late checkout which I didn't understand because it was supposedly included in the packages price... Fast forward to check in where they had us confused with another couple who was getting high tea the next day. Then we got that straightened out...discussed again what we wanted for the package in person at check in and were assured it would be taken care of. Sunday our wine, cheese, and cake were supposed to come to our room at 5pm. It was going on 6pm with nothing. My husband went downstairs to find out what was going on. We were informed the chef " forgot to make our cake". They told us they would refund the price of the cake. Then they brought us the wine and cheese and a couple of cookies. We were completely forgotten about! I do not understand how we could get confirmation 3 times and then suddenly the chef forgot to make our cake? Then we were outright forgotten AGAIN the next morning. Our breakfast in our suite never came. Again my husband had to go downstairs to find out what was going on. My husband tried to discuss this with someone and was brushed off and ignored. We already needed to leave early and not get our late check out. This last thing we were looking forward being completely forgotten about just soured the experience. The inn is quaint and beautiful. The food we did have was delicious. But the customer service and communication is just sorely lacking. I wanted to make it known to proceed with caution booking any extras. I wanted to love my experience but left sadly disappointed.
We celebrated my daughters 4th birthday here and it was absolutely magnificent. We were greeted very warmly, I was amazed at how beautiful the house was. The food was prepared with love, and the staff were just lovely. Thank you guys for the best day ever!
We went for high tea for my mother-in-law’s birthday yesterday and it was wonderful. Booking was simple and service was outstanding. The tea selection was great and I loved the Lemon Ginger. I would highly recommend for any event or for a fun afternoon!
