Absolute Perfection from True Professionals! I cannot recommend HVAC in LA highly enough! After I endured the brutal San Fernando Valley heat for all of 2025 without any working A/C, Sharon, Jacob, and their team stepped in and completely transformed my Woodland Hills home just in time for the summer weather this year. Here is why they are the absolute best in the business: A True Hands-On Family Effort: This isn't some massive corporate company that sends out random hired subcontractors. Jacob himself was on-site every day, directing his team and personally doing the precision work with the highest level of integrity. Sharon also visited the job site each day to check on the progress and ensure everything was running smoothly. They are a dedicated family team who truly care. Expert Guidance & Rebates: Sharon and Jacob guided me through the entire process with patience and kindness, with Sharon navigating the complex rebate process for me, ensuring I didn't miss out on any financial savings. Providing me with the very best system at the very fairest cost. Engineering Precision & Extensive Work: Jacob's engineering background and extensive knowledge truly set this business apart. There was an incredible amount of skilled work required for this project, much of it taking place out of my sight. Up in the attic, the team managed the heavy lifting and meticulous calibration to install the new heat pump unit, ensuring everything was perfectly insulated for peak efficiency. Outside, they prepped the area for the new A/C unit with extreme attention to detail ensuring the unit was far enough from the wall, and setting it on a completely level air conditioner condenser pad with small pebble rocks installed underneath the base to prevent it from sinking over time, and even digging a custom dry well with stones for the condensate drain line. Jacob ensured every single aspect, seen and unseen, was done to the highest possible level. Flawless Home & Pet Care: During the two-day installation, the team treated my home with the utmost respect. They removed wall decor to prevent damage, laid down floor protectors, and took extreme care to keep my pets safe. Spotless Cleanup: Once completed, they left the property immaculate. They hauled away the old units, cleared all packaging, and cleaned the floors and driveway. Passed Inspections with Flying Colors: Both the HERS inspection and the City Inspector confirmed that the installation was flawless and running at peak efficiency, with the city inspector explicitly noting what an excellent job HVAC in LA did. Jacob and team at HVAC IN LA did a great job on my HVAC system installation. I did talk with and got bids from a few organizations and found Jacob met all my requirements I was looking for 1) Successful but small family owned business 2) Clear communications on what components were necessary and why 3) Responsive communications on all inquiries, 4) Competitive bid which was clear and concise. 5) Quick availability to install. The actual installation went exactly as planned with continued responsive communications throughout, both before and after the sales contract. Support continued weeks later on the weekend we had a "self inflicted" issue with the system, HVAC in LA (Jacob) responded quickly and was able to walk us through resolution of the issue. Completely comfortable recommending the HVAC in LA Team!
My air conditioner stopped putting out cold air. My previous HVAC guy retired, so I took a chance with HVAC in LA. Jacob came out and diagnosed a failed capacitor. He had a new one in his car and he fixed it right away. He seemed knowledgeable and pleasant. I was happy to get it fixed and I would call him again when the need arises.
Had a great experience with this company start to finish. Jacob handled the initial inspection and took the time to actually understand what I was dealing with, laid out a clear plan, and never once tried to push unnecessary work or upsell me on things I didn’t need and kept me within the budget I had in mind. That kind of honesty is hard to find. All my questions got answered without making me feel rushed, the scheduling process was easy, and once the work started the job got the job done in just a few hours. Efficient and easy. Finding an HVAC Contractor that is BOTH EXPERIENCED AND CREATIVE is no easy task. But I found one when I met with and hired Jacob Getter and his team from HVAC IN LA. I had never been happy with the ducted HVAC system that was installed when I built my contemporary house in Venice back in 2015. I had wanted to update and retrofit the first floor units with a new model ductless mini split system that had the latest technology and the ability to control the units with a phone app. Now retrofitting an existing system is no easy task. My old HVAC system had been installed in such a way that it was impossible to modify or service. Before contacting HVAC IN LA I had met with and gotten bids from several other HVAC companies but no one was able to think outside the box and solve the installation problems that the situation required. In addition, the design of my house and my own personal taste required both creative installation solutions, and satisfying my very demanding requirements that the installation to be clean and seamless. Installing a ductless system requires running external lines from an outside condenser into the house in order to connect to the wall mount mini split units. In a retrofit situation like mine that meant opening several walls to make the required connections. Jacob and his team were able remove very small sections of drywall, run the required lines and leave a very small patch and paint repair necessary for my painting contractor. The exterior line sets were installed on an exterior wall using custom metal covers and painted with my choice of color to blend with the house exterior. No other contractor offered this customized solution. See the attached photos A couple of other bits of info: Jacob is not your usual HVAC contractor. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from USC which gives him a greater understanding of the technical requirements of an HVAC installation; he speaks several languages including a Chinese; and he does not only do sales but he gets his hands dirty with his crew and makes sure his systems are installed and setup properly himself. If you are looking for an HVAC contractor that does it all, don’t look further HVAC IN LA should be your choice hands down.
