I've been coming here 10 years, and my father has for even longer. Dan is the man and if you've got a foreign car, trust no one else. Bonus points if you've got a Volvo, he knows what he's doing. More than fair prices and a better experience.
This downtown shop is a complete gem of a business. As other reviews have mentioned, Dan is the absolute man. I've been taking my '98 Volvo S70 to Jim Stephens for over 3 years and they always do a fantastic job for a fair price. They are always easy to work with and Dan always takes the time to explain what is being done and what is/isn't necessary, even offering cheaper alternatives where possible. If you drive a Volvo and live in the Tri-State area this is the place for you!
Dan and crew are fabulous. Very knowledgeable and super trustworthy. Been going here for many years and wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Always have an excellent experience here and I haven’t gone anywhere else since I found this shop. They’re polite, honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Service is always done right and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
If I could give them 1000 stars I would - Dan is the man. Very seldom in the year 2025, you take your car anywhere, give them a budget and not only do they come in WAY under budget they actually told me I didn’t need something done that I thought needed done. Saved me $250 plus labor. Jim Stephans is the REAL DEAL if you’re tired of getting bent over by dealerships. They have a customer as long as I’m in market, and I will continue to buy German knowing I have these guys around the corner. thank you!!!!!
