It’s a trade-off. This is an older hotel that is undergoing renovations. That being said, a renovated room still has old furniture. The bathroom is updated but lacks ANY place to hang a towel and has NOWHERE to put toiletries inside the shower- you literally have to put the bottle on the floor. Not sure who planned the renovations. Not sure how they are still in business. When we came in, the front door was stuck open and they could t get it shut- it was below freezing. Our bed was comfortable. Employees are very friendly.
I have been coming here for 10 years. The staff has always been great and the food is good. I have slowly started going to other hotels because to be honest this place is starting to get nasty. The carpet throughout the facility is stained and looks filthy. It’s very dated with old furniture and TV sets. The first room they gave me room 201 stunk so bad I requested another room. They redid the bathrooms on the 6th floor but didn’t put anything to hang your towels to dry or place to put you soap inside the shower. This place could be so much better. Personally I think it’s over priced for what it is.

We were forced to stay at this hotel due to a kitchen fire at our home, and unfortunately it was the worst overnight stay we’ve ever experienced. During the night, several of us woke up with itchy, blister-like bite patterns on our bodies. We immediately notified the front desk and were assured there were no bedbugs in the room. However, after locating, capturing, and physically bringing the bug to the front desk, the staff still refused to admit that it was indeed a bedbug. Despite this, we were told they could not accommodate us with another room. No solution, no assistance, and no concern for the health and safety of our family or any potential guests in the surrounding areas. We packed up extremely carefully and slowly to avoid transferring bedbugs to our next hotel, checked out immediately, and will never return. The lack of accountability, poor response, and refusal to help in a situation involving a serious health concern was unacceptable. I strongly caution others before staying here
Will never stay here again. The hotel was freezing. All quests were complaining the entire weekend and asked the front desk to be told they are not turning on the heat. Black mold was in the Ac/Heat room units and also in the bathroom vent. Bathtub was filthy. Furniture needs upgraded. Tiny dated TV. Everyone we have talked with said the same thing. I’d suggest steer clear of Holiday Inn hotel chain.
Beds are worse than sleeping on the floor. Microwaves dont work correctly, closed the hottub due to cost concerns however kept the fountain in the lobby? This place is a joke. I go every year for the pincinnati event in December and while the show gets better every year. The hotel has gotten worse every year. Admit your mistake, redig the hole you filled in for the hot tub and renovate the lobby. This is the most assanine excuse. Obviously the comfort of your guests dosent matter as i was told by several employees that a ton of people have complained.
