Where to begin… this hotel is not one I’d ever stay in again. The rooms only vaguely resemble the ones advertised. In reality, they are much more dated and dirty. Upon arrival, we were given a room that had stained carpet, mold in the bathroom, hair on the floor, bugs and webs in the window, etc. I couldn’t stay here, so I asked for another room. I would rather have asked for a refund but didn’t because I booked through a 3rd party (ironically because their website wasn’t working) and was afraid I wouldn’t get a refund. The new room was better but I wouldn’t rate in higher than “tolerable.” Still dated and dirty, just less dirty than the 1st. Weird they had “better” rooms available and put me in the one they originally did… I had a terrible night sleep. I’ve never slept on a wood pallet, but I have to imagine the experience is similar. Very hardy, uncomfortable beds. Whichever side I turned to was in pain. And I forgot to bring Tylenol and melatonin. I spent half the night thinking of what I’d write in this review. Anyway, it’s a good location and the staff was nice enough, so there’s that. But this is a complete skip from here on out.
Honestly a great hotel but we were left disappointed by things we were told booking the room not being true. We specifically asked for a room with a bath tub and we had been told no problem. Our son as Recessive Dystrophic Epidermalmylosis Bulosa and can't shower as the pressure of the water can peel his skin off. After we checked in we found out no rooms in the hotel have tubs. So we were blatantly lied to during booking. We also paid extra for breakfast and asked if they had alternatives to pork bacon and sausage at breakfast and we were told yes turkey or vegetarian items were always offered when pork was served. Another blatant lie. The man that runs the restaurant told us they only have turkey available if a large booking request it like a specific church conference. I will say the Bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. The rooms were nice and clean even the windows. And the lobby is beautiful with a gorgeous fountain. They have a nice pool but the room the pool is in temp was set at 65 so you freeze when any part comes out of the water. But because of the lies we were told during booking I doubt we will ever stay at another Holiday Inn. Edit/adding I appreciate the hotel owner response and I will say we did enjoy our stay overall. As I said the bed was excellent as were the pillows. If anything had been done when we brought up the issues to hotel staff we'd probably consider staying again as we stay in the Cincinnati area after because of going to Children's hospital a lot. Unfortunately our concers were only met with a sorry. Not even an offer of a discount. I did forget one other issue that the owner definitely needs to know about. There are signs everywhere saying quiet time is from 10 pm. Yet it sounded like a nightclub with people hollering and laughing in the 6th floor hall till at least 2:30 am and staff would do nothing about it.

It is what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The room was just like any other Holiday Inn you have been in. It was clean. Nothing was broken or missing. AC worked great. Bed was comfortable. And for $100 a night, it was a great deal. If you are looking for something just outside of the Cincinnati outer belt, this is a great spot. We use this hotel when doing an overnight for shows at Riverbend. It is an easy, 15 minute commute to Riverbend. Plus, there are plenty of shops/stores right around the hotel.
Beautiful older hotel. Lobby is still cozy and inviting thankfully not gray washed modern cookie cutter that you see so often. The attached restaurant is a very nice perk Definitely go ahead and pay for the breakfast at booking. We stayed in the king suite, very roomy and comfy, but could use better lighting in the living room area. We moved a lamp from the bedroom in there. Our room was clean and well appointed will certainly be staying here for our future visits to area
I drove 9 hours from Missouri to visit family. Had this hotel booked for several weeks with having a pet. When I booked it the reservation says the property is pet friendly. My confirmation email says it is pet friendly. Now they won't let me check in because they dont allow dogs. Every other hotel in the area is now twice as much because it's last minute. Absolutely terrible experience
