The Fig is tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful corner surrounded by mature trees, giving it a charming and relaxing atmosphere. This was our first visit, and we were immediately impressed by both the menu and the creative daily specials. The variety was outstanding, and some of the flavor combinations we were initially unsure about turned out to be incredible, especially the ceviche served on watermelon and the elk with a blueberry glaze. The service was first-class from start to finish, with a warm, welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. Every dish was exceptional. The elk was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and an absolute delight, while the fish was light, flaky, and seared to perfection. The Fig has earned a permanent spot on our list of favorite restaurants. If you’re looking for outstanding food, creative flavors, and exceptional service, don’t miss this hidden gem.
Beautiful setting and ambiance. The chorizo stuffed calamari appetizer was outstanding BUT their signature octopus 🐙 appetizer was tough and overcooked. Enjoyed their veal chop; tender and flavorful! Mark did an excellent job as our server. Save room for their vignettes; made upon ordering served with coffee ice cream. Seating both indoors and outdoors with ample parking. Reservations advised. Our 26‑year anniversary dinner at The Fig Tree Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the staff was genuinely warm, friendly, and wonderfully accommodating, even remembering my mushroom aversion without hesitation. Every person we encountered wished us a happy anniversary, which made the evening feel truly special. We began with the Lobster Cakes served with fried avocado, corn salsa, and poblano cream sauce. My husband had the Mushroom Bisque with gorgonzola cream, and I enjoyed the Caesar Salad with Fried Calamari. For our entrées, my husband chose the Elk Chop (med-rare) with rosemary gnocchi, kale, cipollini onions, and a wild blueberry agrodolce. I had the Filet Mignon (med-rare) Stilton‑crusted and served with creamy thyme polenta, heirloom baby carrots, and a Madeira demi‑glace. For dessert, my husband enjoyed the Banana Pudding Cheesecake with rum caramel, candied walnuts, chantilly, and banana pudding ice cream. I had the Strawberry‑Kiwi Pavlova with strawberry chantilly and strawberry‑kiwi sorbet. The food was excellent across the board, cooked perfectly and everything tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. The Fig Tree truly made our evening super special and definitely one to remember. We will definitely be back. And PS: that focaccia starter with the rosemary olive oil and roasted garlic purée was very tasty. If we weren’t getting so much other food, we definitely would have gone for seconds, which they offered…and honestly, that’s rare these days in an upscale restaurant.
I stopped in for dinner a few nights ago and the menu looked even better than I remembered. I ended up getting the escargot and foie gras to start. The escargot comes in a gorgonzola cream sauce which was fantastic and the foie gras was rich and paired perfectly with a apple chutney and bacon. For my entree I had the duck breast. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. The duck was tender and savory paired with some blueberries and couscous. The meal was fantastic and service was excellent. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and pleasant. It was a long time between visits for me but I am looking forward to going back soon to try some more of the menu options.
Amazing food Amazing service by server Sadik. He did good recommendations. Amazing vibe. Clean food. Nice and amazing place to dine and enjoy the great food. Must try as they serve clean and amazing food. Might be short of words but grilled octopus was amazing and must try duck. My friend had shot rib and he was amazed to do well with the food. Must try banana cheese cake.
