I had a truly positive experience with Dr. Katherine Bender . From the moment the appointment began, she created a safe and welcoming environment where I felt heard and respected. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions about the issues I was facing and validated my concerns without rushing or minimizing anything I shared. What stood out most was her ability to navigate a sensitive topic with care, empathy, and absolutely no judgment. It made a potentially difficult conversation feel manageable and even empowering. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being, both physically and emotionally. I left the appointment feeling supported, understood, and confident in the care I received. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, attentive, and professional physician
MCH is where I used to get my infusions. It was always hard to get scheduled. The staff was a turnstile. I often received my infusions weeks late. Communication from Golden, who schedules appointments, is often insufficient and delivered late. The inability to schedule patients in a timely manner and communicate changes has had a direct and negative effect on my health. For the sake of improving my health, I am very happy I will no longer be a patient at this infusion center. Update: responding to the owner response. I was weeks late on my infusions most of the year. It’s always been an issue. I am no longer in remission as of now and this is a direct result in MCH’s negligence. Don’t try and deflect. MCH is culpable for this.

My Medical Clinic of Houston PCP recently retired, and I was sent a letter offering opportunities to move to their other providers. The problem was, virtually ALL of their other providers have shifted their practices to a concierge model, and only a couple inexperienced PCPs would accept a Medicare patient. In short - I was shoved out….
I had my annual physical with Dr. Paulsel in June 2025. It was a wonderful experience. He spent a great deal of time with me, and I very much appreciated his reassuring approach and professional expertise. However, I am giving the overall experience only three stars because of a negative experience with the billing department. When I scheduled the appointment, I was given the impression that all costs would be covered either by Medicare or by my supplemental insurance. The Medical Clinic of Houston’s website also states that, “as a courtesy to you, the Clinic will verify your health insurance coverage and benefits prior to your visit.” This further strengthened my understanding that no procedures would be performed unless they were covered or, at the very least, that I would be informed beforehand so I could make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I have since been billed for more than half of the total cost. When I called to inquire, the only explanation I received was: “You should pay this amount because it was not covered by Medicare or supplemental insurance.” I also contacted Medicare and UnitedHealthcare directly, and it appears there may have been an error in the filing by the doctor’s office. Regardless of whether the office failed to notify me in advance that certain tests might not be covered, or whether the claim was submitted incorrectly, I believe it is reasonable to expect a clear and transparent explanation about these charges. I am not very optimistic that the billing department will provide any follow-up or clarification. My primary reason for writing this review is to advise others to request, from the outset, a clear explanation of which procedures will be performed and what potential out-of-pocket costs they may be responsible for.
The facility is nice. Very purpose built for easy cleaning. The people are super helpful to assist in finding your way to the floor you need. Check in and out is a breeze. Parking is $6 which they can process inside.
