My wife and I have really come to appreciate mural art, so we made it a point to check out the “Welcome to Roosevelt Row” installation while in Phoenix—and we’re glad we did. The colors are vibrant and full of energy, bringing the neighborhood to life and giving it a creative, welcoming vibe. It was a great city excursion—easy to walk around, with art around every corner. That said, we do wish we had a guide or some background info to help us understand the meaning and stories behind the murals. There’s clearly a lot of thought and culture behind the artwork, and learning more would’ve made the experience even richer. Still, it’s a must-see if you’re in Phoenix and love street art or want a taste of the city’s creative side.
Good hotel nearby Phoenix airport.

This art sign is right at the intersection of 7th and Roosevelt, when you first turn into Roosevelt you'll it on one of the side buildings. There's a mural of Roosevelt Row, welcoming visitors. If you walk ahead - on that building, you'll see some other mural about Roosevelt. As you round the corner as you walk past that mural, you'll see some other artwork including colorful pipes and letters. I did not see any parking lot, but there is street parking and parking lots nearby. The sidewalk in front is accessible with ramps.
This incredible leisurely art walk is a fascinating display of renderings by many of Phoenix’s Muralists. It’s a hidden gem in an alley in Downtown – kind of a hidden destination, yet close to other walkable unique city posts like galleries, boutiques and shops, along with some fantastic eats along the way. One can enjoy a relaxed time and include brunch or lunch while your at it. Some of our best artists are on display here such as Caravao, Lee, Volar and Caruso – just to mention a few. This is a must to really understand and appreciate the true nature and core of our great community.
We didn't really get the full experience because it was raining. Would like to go back and spend a day walking around there
