Wonderful experience i leaned alot about the coins & History there at the mint. The guides are so great. Highly recommended for Any age. 10 stars for me. Go book your free tour at any mint in the country.
I had a great time visiting the Denver Mint! Just a heads up, you need to reserve tickets ahead of time, which is different from the walk in style of the Philadelphia Mint tour. Once you’re set with tickets, though, the experience is smooth and well organized. The tour itself was really enjoyable and informative. It’s fascinating to see how coins are made and to learn about the history behind the minting process. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Denver!
Took the tour on the final day that the penny was printed. Would have enjoyed seeing the machines in action but it was a 3p tour and coin stamping appeared to be done for the day. Informative tour and a good learning experience.

I really enjoyed the free tour. Tour tickets need to be picked up in advance on the same day. They have multiple tours during the day and if you are lucky you can get the ticket before the tour. The tour includes the history of the mint, the minting of coins and a penny souvenir. Bags of any kind are not allowed, there are no lockers to store your belongings, cell phones need to be turned off and you have to go through security check.
We went on Thursday about 1045a to get free tour tickets at the outside gift shop window... tour was scheduled to 12p. There is street parking and paid parking lots where you'll pay about $20. Before you start the tour, you will wait in line and the guards will give further instructions. IMPORTANT: NO BAGS ALLOWED. You will then go through security check. The tour was great!. The tour will give you history, go through the process of the mint and give you a souvenir. Our tour guide was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. **It would have been great if the mint could provide a brochure/photos of what we learned (museum area) and some architectural areas (exit hall area)... since photographs are not allowed during the tour.
