Went to Adelina on 1/11/25 for my boyfriends birthday. We ordered the amalfi spritz and something old fashioned for drinks. Both were good, great presentation and I don’t even like old fashions but the old fashioned was pretty decent. We started with the focaccia for a starter and Brian seemed knowledgeable about the menu and gave us recommendations for entrees. We ordered the rigatoni and grass fed Australian lamb chops. Unfortunately our pasta came out cold and we had to send it back. Brian immediately fixed it and we ate our lamb chops as we waited for the pasta to be remade. The lamb chops were SO GOOD! Absolutely amazing! I usually eat steak but these lamb chops were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ seasoned to perfection. I noticed though the server assistants/bussers were too quick to take dishes, had to tell two of them we weren’t done with the pasta yet and then one of them came back a little later and there were some noodles left and he just took away the dish. I understand it is important to take away dirty dishes but we were taking our time and did not need it taken away immediately. Would definitely be back for the drinks and lamb chops!
My husband and I decided to eat at Adelina. We always pass it and wanted to try it. We have eaten at a lot of restaurants downtown Detroit. Our reservations were for 5:00pm, which is a little early for us but we wanted a table seat and that was the one we chose because the next one would have been 8:30pm, and that is a little late for me. Our waitress name was Ashley. It started out as a dry conversation but before the night was over it she had grown on us. We actually had some things in common. We ordered a bottle of distilled water, my husband had the Olive Oil Martini drink, and I don’t drink alcohol. Ashley recommend the No-Jito. So, I ordered the No-Jito from the Zero Proof side of the menu. We ordered the Waygu Meatball and shared it. This was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Veal Parmesan and I the Barrel Cut Filet Mignon. The No-Jito was amazing. I have tried a lot of non alcoholic drinks and I have my go to’s but this drink was beautiful and done just right. I’ve noticed some non alcoholic have to much sugar this one was perfect. My husband said his drink and meal was a ten. I’ve eaten a lot of Filet Mignon, it is my go to. I prefer mine medium. Adelina offered the charred Filet Mignon and I liked it. It also came with a side of potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were good I didn’t touch the broccoli. The broccoli looked fine I was getting full. If you know then you know I have to do dessert. I ordered the Dream of Chocolate to go. I did this review after I got home and ate the dessert. If you like chocolate this is the dessert for you. Overall the service was great. Staff cleans your table in between meals, and fill your water. Management also checks in on you. Again, our waitress was Ashley and she was delightful. Would I try Adelina again, yes! Fast sitting, great service, great staff, great food, nice environment.

Celebrated husband’s birthday. The dishes were exceptional. Our waiter Bob was attentive, warm, checking in at just the right moments. It was a great experience and one we’d happily repeat.
Adelina was absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, everything we ate was exceptional. Scallops, pasta, ribs, dessert, and wine were all beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with intention. This is Italian done right. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Chris was phenomenal. Not just good restaurant service, but genuinely attentive, thoughtful, and warm. He went above and beyond in a way that made the entire evening feel special without ever being intrusive. That level of care is rare and deeply appreciated. If you are looking for an incredible dining experience in downtown Detroit where food, atmosphere, and service are fully aligned, this place delivers. We will absolutely be back.
Food was amazing!!! Our server, Brian was so nice and really knew the menu very well! He was a pleasure to have as a server! We were so impressed at how fresh everything was and we were so happy to speak to the chef, Marco. Definitely will go back and highly recommend for very authentic Italian food.
