We came on the 4th of July looking for a quick bite to eat. We sat on the patio which has a lovely view of the river and Irishman corners. We ordered the perch tacos, fish and chips (walleye) and onion rings. The service was excellent refilling our soda waters almost immediately. They brought the food right out. The fish fresh and flavorful. I recommend the homemade chips and onion rings
We were searching for restaurants with water views and it was recommended we head up Merwin’s. We had a 45 minute wait, however it was totally worth it. Views were great, outdoor space well maintained, just an overall sublime atmosphere. Service was excellent and upbeat, despite how busy they were. We enjoyed our appetizers, pretzels, crab cakes, and mussels. We ordered the perch and mahi mahi, however, those were the least enjoyable parts of our experience. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely visit again!

Didn't go to eat this time But, went to put paddle boards in to go see light up the lake fireworks. The paddle board launch was fab. It was very clean, easy to access, and there was ample parking even on the 4th of July. The dock had loaders. You set your board or kayak in it from the dock. Then you can get on/ in with out tipping. Load your stuff even have hand rails to steady you as you step on. Then you just push off. Just as easy to get out just paddle onto it and Walla. Definitely recommend if you are trying to paddle the Cuyahoga river or out to the lake near the stadium. Great bridge photos opps and views of the city! Best of all it was free!!
Merwin’s Wharf! Have a delicious meal and then stroll on the bank of the Cuyahoga River, for an all around lovely experience. We decided to order onion rings for an appetizer -- wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside. Yum! For the main course, we ordered fish and chips and barbecue tofu sandwich. I had the tofu sandwich: spice-rubbed grilled tofu with sweet barbecue and spicy pickles. The sandwich came with a mound of delicious French fries — I have to admit that French fries are a weakness of mine; I ate the whole pile - they were so darn good! After all those fries, though, I was only able to eat a little of my sandwich, but that was fine; I ate it for dinner, and it was delicious! The fish and chips got great reviews, too; it looked flaky and tender and it didn’t smell fishy, which is a good thing. After the meal, we stood around in the deck and watched the rowers on the river. An altogether enjoyable experience.
WOW! Took my son today to try Merwin’s Wharf. We got seated outside along the river. It was beautiful out today. In one of the food pics… you can see a cargo ship coasting by before going under the bridge. We started off with the crab cakes. My son had never had crab cakes and he crushed them. He ordered off the kids menu and got tenders and fries; which he promptly demolished. I had the Fish and chips. I was a huge walleye fillet cooked perfectly. The tartar sauce tasted homemade (which is a plus) and the fries were seasoned just right. The coleslaw also was a nice touch. We both were extremely satisfied with the service, food and the price. I recommend Merwin’s Wharf for anyone who likes seafood and looks to sit outside and see massive cargo ships pass by. Will be returning sooner rather than later (as long as Mother Nature acts right).
