Very beautiful place. My husband is a veteran, so seeing it the week of the 4th of July was great trip on our vacation.
The Grotto is beautiful and well managed, everything was neat and had a lot of diversity. The park felt safe and was lovely to walk around, I do have a few complaints though. First of all you will constantly hear traffic fly by as it’s placed just before the expressway, this may affect your visit if you are looking to try and relax. Secondly there are tons of mosquitoes since the grotto itself is pretty still making it a breeding ground for those pests.
Absolutely beautiful and quiet stroll in Dayton. Mostly wheelchair accessible.

This place is truly beautiful. The volunteers have put so much time and effort making the gardens into an amazing sanctuary for veterans. My husband and I are both veterans and actually got married here. We are thankful for this beautiful location.
This place was fantastic! We were there for the burial of a close family member, with other friends and family members too far away to attend. Afterwards my wife and I, being the only ones able to attend the burial, went to the grotto to sit and think, and spend a quiet moment. It was fantastic, if you’re in the area for any reason to stop by and sit in the gazebo for a few minutes.
