Super cool to see, but Google doesn't get you there. Go past where it is and take a right at the first road. Take that to where Paw Paw Pavillion is, going right into the looped parking area. There is a dirt trail to the left of the pavillion. Follow it and it will take you there.
Park at the PawPaw pavilion. Enter the dirt trail to left of the pavilion. The trail is short but steep. It is possible to take a stroller but there are several exposed roots and rocks. There are no signs at the trailhead. It’s a beautiful structure and has a beautiful view of the area.
Cool little spot. Stopped here on our way to Gettysburg from Indiana. Nice 20 minute walk to stretch our legs and check out the tower. The whole grounds are beautiful. We walked it with our dog. I wish the tower wasn't cemented closed though.

Cool place to explore. Wanted to see something new and interesting. Nice redoubt like observation tower. Overlooks Dayton public golf course. Go park next to PawPaw Pavillion. Then look to left for trail entrance. Start walking uphill. Very strategic location on hilltop overlooking wide, valley below. Now it is golf course. Nice trails. Patterson statue just down the road. Castle stairs blocked off by concrete.
Beautiful walking trail along the site. Tower is sealed off and cannot be entered or be climbed to top but it is neat looking.
