I think I have previously reviewed Dr. Newton P Allen and his staff. However, they deserve another review! I am a true believer in the MDVIP Program (one that I was really skeptical about early on) and I am so very happy that I switched doctors and came to Dr. Allen. He and his staff really know how to personalize the whole healthcare experience AND focus on me as an individual...not just me, some patient! Thanks!
My wife & I have been patients of Dr. Newton Allen for many years. When he joined the MDVIP program, for us it was a no-brainer. Dr. Allen knows and has cared for us so well that we didn't think twice before joining him in this program. His staff also knows us and are VERY professional.
Dr. Allen and his staff are always responsive and friendly. My primary criticism of him is that he does not listen very well to my concerns about my health problems and seems to have "stock" solutions to each problem rather than an individualized solution for me. I am very concerned about his prescribing practices. He thinks there is "a drug for every health problem", which is not true. He prescribes a dosage of most drugs which is usually too great for a senior like me and he completely disregards the known side effects of drugs that he prescribes. I have struggled with insomnia and the resulting fatigue for almost a year, and he has provided very little help in dealing with this serious problem which has upended my life.

Dr. Allen is thorough in his patient care.... listens carefully and makes recommendations for treatment or lifestyle. His staff also are all so competent and helpful. So pleased to have Dr. Allen as my physician.
I’ve been seeing Dr Allen for years and he’s done a good job for me through my health issues and his staff is fantastic. Very friendly. They got a good little thing going there out there.
