I had a pleasant stay at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Charlotte Uptown. The hotel is a bit older and could benefit from some updates, but it was clean and comfortable overall. One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent customer service. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The complimentary breakfast was also good, with a nice selection of items to start the day. While the property shows its age in some areas, the quality of the service and the positive attitude of the staff made for an enjoyable stay. Overall, a solid option for anyone visiting Charlotte.
I ended up staying here because my preferred Marriott choice was booked for the night. Clearer instructions on how to access the hotel from the parking garage would be helpful- you want to park on the 2nd floor if possible. Don’t park on the 1st. The ladies at the bar work hard and are very nice. It’s a quiet hotel, but busy. I wasn’t a fan of the way the room smelled, or the elevators. The WiFi wasn’t the best- Netflix kept having to buffer. Excellent water pressure, hot water, and towels. The shower curtain can’t keep its hands off of you though- so beware if that gives you the ick. The pillows are perfect, the comforter is comfy, the AC works perfectly. The view from the window is of AC units- not very pretty. But all in all, once I got comfortable, I feel like this wasn’t a bad place to stay. It’s very casual which isn’t my normal hotel type- but it worked for the night and for the location I needed.

Very nice hotel. However the parking situation is quite frustrating. You have to get a ticket and you're supposed to be able to use the ticket to get back in later. However it never works and there's always a line of people trying to get in and figure out how to get the gate to go up. They need to have a better situation for this as this is the second time we've stayed here and it happens every time you go or come. Shouldn't have this kind of frustration at a hotel at this price. Other than that it's a very nice place
Our stay here was excellent from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. Jay was the service representative at the front desk and he was always courteous and friendly. Any request or question was answered promptly and always with a smile. All staff we encountered were also courteous and friendly. The continental breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. The hotel was neat and clean. I highly recommend to anyone.
Stayed for one night this past weekend. The room was nice, bed was comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good. There was an older lady working in the breakfast area, didn't get her name. She greeted everyone that entered, and asked if there was anything she could do for you. I told her that it was nice to actually meet someone who brightens your morning, and does their job with a smile on their face. She was a pleasure!
