I read a lot of negative reviews about this medical group, so I was not happy when I was referred there. Much to my surprise, none of the bad things other people complained about happened to me. The office people were very kind and helpful. The other medical girls were also nice. Dr. Leshin was awesome. I’ve been really disappointed because it seems like a lot of the doctors I’ve seen for my back don’t examine me. It’s like they just ask a few questions and call it a day. I was so happy Dr. Leshin took the time to actually physically examine me. He asked me questions, listened to me, and answered any questions I had. He gave me treatment options and for once, I feel like I might be on the road to being pain free (if my insurance will cooperate). Barring any problems that hopefully won’t arise, this was a great experience. I felt respected and supported.
Dr Shaffer NPC is a fantastic Dr, he is attentive to my concerns he gives great advice on attentive solutions not just medication but hands on physical therapy, getting ones core muscles strengthen aquatic physical therapy were im doing therapy in the swimming pool. Dr Shaffer gives awesome referrals and suggestions for my primary care physician education as well. Synovation medical group The staff is welcoming friendly and very flexible when scheduling patients future appointments. I give Synovation medical group 10, stars across the board, as well as there answering services which is very attentive to rescheduling appointments that patients have to reschedule do to medical issues. It's very gratifying knowing my pain management team has my best care I there hands. I must give Dr Leshin a very very special acknowledgement he so caring for his patients when I was in pain from the injections he stopped immediately and referred me to anesthesia and it went well, Dr Leshin cracked jokes with me and complimented me on my fashion dress attire that I have respect for my for my drs appointments.

Professional staff, very courteous. The Dr is amazing. Dr Massachi listens instead of blowing you off like some do. She also lets you know different options of managing pain. They have a waiting list if you need a sooner appt which is a huge plus. UPDATE 6-2-2026: Saw Dr. Lenshin for a cortisone shot. When I say he let me know step by step what he was doing. He let me know when he was about to stick me, made the process easier. If you're in need of pain management, this is definitely the place to go.
I have been a patient since the age of 33 I am now 41. I absolutely LOVE DR LESHIN. He has always been attentive. He took my health seriously. He took time before doing invasive treatments. And I've always felt heard. I give this a 4 only because one of his new assistant doctor, Orena. She has been a headache. My father and I are her patient due to them losing a doctor. She may very well be a good enough doctor, but she is young and hasn't enough emotional control to be dealing with insurance and patients on controlled substances. I had a test come back positive for alcohol once, and I told her it had to be a false positive. Long story short the lab couldn't prove it wasn't, I NEVER had a dirty test the 7 or so years Id been there. She didn't even give the benefit of doubt and treated me as such. My father was to get his meds Jan of 2026. It took until March of 2026 to get them all because she wouldn't fill out the prior authorization form correctly. He ended up with an alternative medication which does not work and I will have to fight her and her assistant Wendy again just to get his meds. She changed his pharmacy, as if that would not require a prior authorization and long behold they called me with the same issue. She has been a headache. I sat on a 3 way call with her and my fathers insurance (I connected them) and heard her get flustered with simply filling out the form the way they instructed her to. You can not do that with opioid medication. I watched my father, a Vietnam Vet, suffer with withdrawals because this pharmacy we did not choose, deliver his opioid medication late. I'm beyond livid. Once there is another assistant doctor on hand I'm sure the ship will turn. But as of now, good luck.
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS GROUP. YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE THE HELP AND TREATMENT YOU NEED. Can I rate zero? This is by the absolute worst place to come to. If you're in need of medical help and treatment, you won't find it here. Matthew Shaffer NP is an absolute joke and at this point I'm wondering if he's even any sort of professional. He canceled my first appointment a few months ago, 5 min prior, because he couldn't be bothered to plan ahead for Dodgers parade traffic (I made it). I left a review last time but gave him a second chance and removed it, which was a huge mistake. When I show up, the woman at the front desk said "We called and left a message" I look at my phone and it was literally 5 min prior to my appointment. "5 min before my appointment?" I ask. And like the sloth from zootopia she, devoid of life, simply says "Yeah." Had to wait several weeks for another available appointment. Still in desperate need of help and in extreme pain. Then there is the ACTUAL MD - Benjamin Leshin. In extreme pain, of course they end up canceling and reschedule my injection appointment and had to wait another 4 weeks. When I finally had my appointment, he refused to take 5 minutes to write me a prescription for manual therapy. His reason "This shot will work way better than ANY miofascial release." I push back mentioning, "Ok, but I mean for the long term as I'm continuing PT." After a silent pause he says "...don't you have a follow up? You can ask then." Which was a week out... AND passed the buck to good ol' Matthew who likely got his NP license from the internet. Matthew says he will push on my insurance for the MRI if needed. Well I needed. I messaged the portal, nothing. I call the office a few days later a woman answers, takes the message as the option specifically is FOR taking messages. OPTION 3. Nothing....no response. I give up with this scam artists and get my chiro to help since he actually does his job. Unfortunately I'm stuck with these scam artists pretending to be medical "professionals" yet they are absolutely useless. I won't blame their desk staff, they seem nice, but they're clearly not trained. Yesterday I called after leaving another message on the portal (they tell you to do this also) and follow up once again with option 3. After telling me I needed to set another appointment just to get a response to my portal message and then hung up when transferring me. She calls back and suddenly now she's able to leave a message but won't be until 4:30 as Matthew is busy doing god knows what pretending to play doctor. Annnnnd another day has passed and ZERO response. These people need to be held accountable for their negligence and inability to fill their responsibilities which are other's wellbeing in their hands. Honestly I'm shocked there aren't a pile of malpractice cases against this place. If anyone has any information on how to hold these scammers accountable please reach out. They should not be practicing. The law needs to stop this blatant abuse of position. I get it.Their pockets are full. Why try so hard? Have them make another appointment, I've got to rehearse my lines for the next batch of fools... there are real doctors out there, but not here. Go elsewhere. You won't regret it and actually get treatment and support.
