Jackie saw my permanent retainer was dislodged which I was unaware. And I am so grateful. I was happy to see her since she was away at my previous appointment and I was worried she had left the practice. She is great. Also I appreciate that Dr Nab took the time to do the unscheduled repair. He said my tooth had already moved. So I know I would have been in trouble if we’d let it go. Dr Nab and his team consistently deliver ABCD. Which is why I continue to drive an hour and a half in, when I could go alternatively 15 minutes to a dentist in Waller.

I recently relocated to Houston and my son recommended the Midtown Dental - The Gallery of Smiles. The appointment was easy to make. I appreciated the digital pre-registration materials. The intake procedure for new patients was thorough, including x-rays and photographs, as well as a review of my dental history. It was followed up by a periodontal evaluation. The Dentist reviewed the results of the x-rays, photographs, and the periodontal evaluation in a thorough manner. The office staff may contact with my insurer and develop a plan for ongoing treatment. I found the whole process that took about an hour to be highly professional, thorough, and patient centered. On two subsequent visits, Jackie, the dental hygienist provided deep cleaning that was thorough and gentle.
As always, I was attended to promptly, kindly, and efficiently. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Nab and his team for the past 12 years. We have complete confidence in their expertise and the quality of their care. I highly recommend them.
Wasn’t planning to leave a review at first. However, continuing to receive reminders to reschedule my appointment brought me back to a poor experience I had with Sarah, which is unfortunate because Dr. Nab is a good dentist. Last week, I was scheduled for a routine cleaning. Two days before my appointment, I confirmed that I would be attending. Later that same night, I ended up going to urgent care and was diagnosed with the flu. The following morning, I called the office and spoke with Sarah to inform her of the situation. She immediately stated that my only options were to either pay a $60 cancellation fee or come into the office while sick with the flu. When I asked how that would impact staff and other patients, especially considering how contagious the flu is, she stated that the staff would be fine because they wear masks during appointments. There was little to no consideration for other patients who would be in the office, or for the fact that coming in while sick is not appropriate. Realistically, no one wants to go to the dentist while dealing with the flu. Aside from this experience, there have been other issues with the office. However, I was not informed that the first appointment would only include X-rays without any assessment or basic treatment. In my experience, most dental offices provide at least a basic cleaning or evaluation during the initial visit. Additionally, the office hours are limited for individuals who work during the day, with the last appointments often being scheduled as early as 2:00 PM. Overall, this experience has led me to consider finding another dentist who may cost more but offers better hours and a higher level of professionalism and compassion from staff. I would also recommend additional training for Sarah, particularly in demonstrating compassion and understanding within a healthcare setting. Obviously, that means giving me no consideration To being sick and only the choice of either coming or having to pay the $60. Also, when I call back the next day, I never did say that I canceled the day to be clear. I just clearly saved it to you guys that I decided not to attend the appointment.
