Extremely Unprofessional and Disorganized – Especially Concerning for Children’s Care I usually don’t write reviews, but my experience with Washington St. Dentistry was so upsetting and unprofessional that I feel other parents need to be warned. I brought my son in for an appointment on the 5th. At that visit, I was told he needed extractions, which were scheduled for the 19th. The dental assistant clearly told me that the medication he needed *before* his procedure would be called into the pharmacy **the day before** his appointment, and that he was supposed to take it an hour before the procedure. The day before his initially scheduled procedure, I went to the pharmacy, and they told me the medication was **not** ready. Because he needed this medication in advance, I had no choice but to call the office and reschedule his procedure. What I was **not** told at the time was that they had actually called the medication in **the same day we left the office** after the initial visit, not the day before the procedure like I was told. That meant the prescription had already expired from the pharmacy’s system, which is why it wasn’t available when I went to pick it up. When I rescheduled, I also was **never informed** that they would *not* be sending in a new prescription. Instead, I was supposed to call the pharmacy so they could “re‑process” the original prescription. No one explained that to me, and as a result, my son **still** did not have the medication he needed. To make this even worse, when I called to discuss the situation and explain what I had been told, the staff member I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive. She repeatedly insisted that “nobody would have told you that,” implying I was either confused or making it up. What she didn’t know is that, completely by chance, my son was actually recording a vlog during the visit. On that video, you can clearly hear the dental assistant **very plainly** say that the medication would be called in **the day before** his procedure. So for them to tell me that “no one could have said that” is not only wrong, it’s insulting and unprofessional. I literally have the interaction recorded. Overall, this office showed: - Poor communication - Lack of follow‑through on medication for a child’s procedure - No accountability when their own staff gave incorrect information - Rude and dismissive behavior when I tried to get answers When it comes to my child’s health, I expect clear communication, honesty, and basic respect. Unfortunately, that is **not** what we experienced at Washington St. Dentistry. I would not trust them with my child’s care again and would strongly encourage other parents to think twice before going here.
