Our son moved from another area in Chicago and we needed to find a new hotel to stay at when we visit him. We were thrilled with the Guesthouse Hotel. The apartment style setting is a refreshing change. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions or needed anything. The hotel is located in a nice area and we felt comfortable walking everywhere. There are many shops and restaurants/cafés within walking distance. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we visit our son in the future.
The Guesthouse Hotel has become a special part of our annual December trip. Three friends of 25 years, now living in different parts of the country, come together here once a year, and it truly feels like our Chicago home for the weekend. This last stay was wonderful. Rick did an outstanding job making sure we felt welcomed back and well taken care of. His communication, thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality made all the difference. We are so grateful for the care he put into our experience and look forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

I already live in the neighborhood and have heard great things about Guesthouse. I'm a producer for an annual holiday fundraiser and not only was Guesthouse enthusiatic with supporting the cause, but the accommodations I booked for our VIP were INCREDIBLE. The suites are stunning, spacious, and I'm a huge fan of how much they support local vendors (be sure to check out your treat basket on the counter). We're very lucky to have Guesthouse and I'll be staying with them the next time I need a little staycation.
This boutique hotel is a true gem. We have two daughters living within a half mile, so we will definitely be making this a regular part of visiting them. Check in was easy, they offer 30 minute parking in front of the building. Every staff member we met including front desk and house keeping were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We were upgraded to a two room suite, which was more than we needed but it worked out. The room included a nice little kitchen, patio with grill, in room snacks, and an ample living room. The room was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfy and we slept well both nights. I really appreciated the smart tv asking us when we were checking out and then informing us that any login credentials we used would be deleted at check out. I have never seen this at a hotel before. I only have two suggestions for improvement. First, the toilet paper, it was rough industrial grade stuff. I wi bring my own in the future. Secondly, the living room furniture looks nice but I can’t imagine what body type it would fit comfortably. The cushions are hard, and the backs are too far back. But, even with that I am giving it 5 stars for the staff, cleanliness, room appointments, location, and bed comfort. Well worth a stay!
Had a wonderful stay at The Guesthouse Hotel for several nights while in town for a wedding. The room was apartment-like with ample room for a family to relax. We especially appreciated the proximity to many cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. Recommend to anyone looking to avoid downtown and seeking a more lowkey boutique experience.
