I want to give a strong 5-star review to Pitts Stop Auto at 4734 Baum Blvd. I’ve taken my truck here both before and after the new ownership, and my recent visit was a completely different experience in the best of ways ps. I came in with a check-engine light that had me concerned. I have my own scan tool and could see the code, and I also know this particular engine code can mean a lot of different things, ranging from very serious to not serious at all. What impressed me most was the diagnostic approach and the integrity behind it. They didn’t guess, and they didn’t try to “shotgun” parts at the problem. They talked through what they were seeing and gave me a practical plan. It would have been easy for them to immediately recommend replacing the sensor or worse. Instead, the owner suspected the sensor was simply fouled, likely connected to me not changing the oil recently. He recommended cleaning it first and monitoring whether the code comes back, which is exactly the kind of root-cause thinking that saves customers money. They also did an oil change, and the total was $88, including computer diagnostics. Clear communication, Honest, and pricing that felt justified and fair. In my 30+ years of working with auto shops, I’ve have never seen this level of honesty and professionalism. I’ll be coming back and recommending Pitts Stop Auto to anyone in Pittsburgh who wants straight answers and real diagnostic skill.
