Pretty tough hike, but well worth it. It’s difficult to find out where to park and when, but there’s numerous parking options. Each parking option will change the hiking distance, terrain, difficulty. All things considered, some of the most stunning views of LA you can get in one of the best parks ever.

You can’t visit Los Angeles without seeing the Hollywood Sign! It’s such an iconic landmark. This spot offered a decent view for a photo, though it's definitely a bit of a hike or drive to get the perfect angle. Even on a cloudy day, it feels surreal to see it in person. Pro tip: Arrive early to beat the crowds and the heat!
My first time experiencing Hollywood as an adult… and WOW, what an experience! 🌴✨ From taking in the views at Griffith Observatory, to finally seeing the iconic Hollywood Sign in person, to exploring Downtown Los Angeles — every moment was full of energy, excitement, and unforgettable sights. The vibe is definitely high energy, fast-paced, and full of life. There’s so much going on everywhere you turn, and it really makes you feel like you’re part of something big. And here’s my little tip with some Melissa energy… go in with a smile and a “kill them with kindness” attitude 😊 It makes the experience even better and you’ll get that same energy right back. This trip was everything I hoped it would be and more. Already looking forward to the next visit! 💯✨
An iconic landmark that lives up to its legend The Hollywood Sign is one of those bucket list sights that genuinely delivers when you see it in person. Whether you spot it from the Griffith Observatory, Lake Hollywood Park or hike up close through Griffith Park, the experience is memorable and the views over Los Angeles are spectacular. The hike to get near the sign is accessible for most fitness levels and well worth the effort for the photo opportunities alone. That said, you can't actually touch or stand directly in front of the letters, the closest viewpoints are still some distance away, which surprises many first time visitors. Parking in the area can be a real headache, especially on weekends. Go early in the morning for the best light, fewer crowds and easier parking. A true LA icon not to be missed.
