I just wanted to say how sweet and helpful the staff are here. I was not feeling great and we had just driven a long way and they all made me feel so much better immediately. Thank you to the two ladies at the front desk who were so sweet and chill. Greg the bellman is so genuine and nice. The valet was super sweet as well. Whomever manages this hotel really knows what they are doing. The location of this hotel is awesome, but the staff really make it extra special.
This was our second time at this location and we will not be back. We checked in and were given keys. Went to the room and it was not the room we reserved and paid for.. it was a downgrade. We went back to the counter and asked for the correct room. The same lady that checked us in went back on the computer and said the room size we reserved and paid for was not available. I asked why this was not disclosed at check in and she got upset because I asked this and said she just got to work. She is using the same computer she checked us in at. Her coworker then came over and gave attitude because i asked why it wasnt disclosed. I asked for the room i paid for which got more irritation from (Kristen). We believe that was her name. She then called someone and kept going to the back room. 20 minutes later she hands my husband keys without saying a word. He asked if this was for the correct room. She said yes. That was it. No apology for wrong room. No apology for the wait. No customer service. We were not rude. We didnt do anything but question the downgrade at the same rate room. Terrible service

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was asked how was my stay and if I needed anything throughout my stay. The amenities were nice and cleaned, as well as the room. The only downside for me was not being able to stream on the TV like other Hampton Inns. But this was my favorite one thus far. I highly recommend!
I would not recommend staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte SouthPark at Phillips Place. During my stay, my vehicle was broken into while it was parked in the hotel parking lot. The experience was incredibly frustrating, but what made it even worse was the hotel’s response. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they would not offer any compensation or assistance. The front desk employee told me that this was not an isolated incident and that there had been multiple vehicle break-ins at this property over the past couple of years. In fact, four vehicles were reportedly broken into the same night as mine at this property. Despite claims of 24-hour security and the presence of exterior cameras, that did not prevent these incidents or provide any reassurance as a guest. If you choose to stay here, be aware that vehicle break-ins have occurred in the parking lot. I wish I had known this before booking. Based on my experience and the lack of concern shown afterward, I would not stay here again.
Called at 5:09 pm on Monday June 15, 2026. OMG!! You don’t need the extra stress of staying here, especially when there’s a Hilton across the street. For at least the past decade, we stay at Hilton and Hampton Inns exclusively. I have never experienced such a horrible attitude from someone supposedly in “customer service “!! I reserved a King bed and upon checking in using the app, a 2 Queen bed showed up. The app wouldn’t let me change anything so I called and the woman at first said she couldn’t change it, that I had to change it. When I explained that the reason I was calling was that the app wouldn’t let me change it and told me to contact the hotel, then she said “oh well I can’t change it. A manager actually made that change and there’s nothing I can do.” So I said, can I speak with one of the managers? She said there’s no one here. I’m like there’s nobody there that’s in charge and can fix a mistake that was made not by me? She was all cranky and was like nope there’s nobody here; just because some hotels have managers here at night doesn’t mean we do. (remember, it’s barely past 5pm at this point) Again, another problem that has nothing to do with me. Then she said they’ve been having problems with their system, so I said oh well maybe we should just cancel it. And she said in a ridiculous tone, fine if it’s THAT big a deal, I’ll cancel it but I’m gonna report it, as if this was meant to threaten or intimidate me. I have no idea what that meant, so I asked her and she hung up on me. I proceeded to call the corporate 800 number because no one should be treated like that and since she hung up on me, I don’t know whether she processed the cancellation or not and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t get charged since the error was not due to anything that I did. I saw a few reviews that said Customer Service was horrible and I thought they were exaggerating, but clearly they must’ve all been dealing with this particular woman. Why is she at the front desk or answering the phones? She clearly has zero Customer Service skills and doesn’t have any idea how to treat customers. Hilton, I don’t expect a red carpet rolled out just because I happen to be a loyalty member, but I don’t expect to be treated like trash for any reason. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. Save yourself the worry and pick one of the half dozen or other hotels right in that area. Anything has to be better than this. Note that the Hilton customer service person was absolutely a delight to speak with and she ensured that I wasn’t charged a late cancellation fee. I also stay in Concord a lot and those Hilton/Hampton Inns are also fantastic, it’s just this one that I wouldn’t recommend.
