⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Overall, we had a great stay at the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort and would definitely consider staying again! The location is fantastic;nbeing inside Stone Mountain Park means there's so much to do without ever leaving the property. The restaurants were excellent, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and a wonderful place to relax. The only downside was housekeeping. We stayed for four days and three nights, and our room was never cleaned. We didn't expect daily service, but we did expect at least one cleaning during our stay. Every time we asked, we were redirected to someone else, and while fresh towels were eventually delivered, the room itself was never serviced. So if you want your room cleaned, trash removed, or fresh towels, don't get your hopes up. Hopefully, the resort is able to hire additional housekeeping staff or improve communication between departments because everything else about our stay was wonderful. We'll definitely be back and hope this one area has improved by then!
We had a great overall stay at Evergreen Lake Resort at Stone Mountain and would definitely consider returning. The location is unbeatable—just minutes from Stone Mountain Park and the campgrounds, making it incredibly convenient for families looking to explore everything the area has to offer. This is a very kid-friendly resort, and the pool was a huge highlight for our family. It was spacious, fun, and perfect for cooling off after a day in the park. That said, the pool could definitely use more frequent cleaning to match the otherwise beautiful setting. The housekeeping staff deserves special recognition. They were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and kept our room spotless throughout our stay. In contrast, the front desk staff could be a bit warmer and more helpful. Check-in was smooth, but customer service felt less welcoming than expected. One disappointment was that none of the electric vehicle chargers were working during our visit, which was frustrating and something I hope management addresses soon. Also, families should know that none of the resort’s restaurants serve pizza, which seems like a missed opportunity for a destination catering to so many kids. Overall, this is a beautiful property in a fantastic location with plenty of family-friendly amenities. With a little more attention to maintenance, improved EV charging, and friendlier front desk service, it could easily be a five-star experience.

Great location in the park, convenient to all. Place is going through some changes from no longer being a Mariott property. Rooms are extremely clean and refreshed. The hallways were not clean, stairwell needed cleaning, stairs near pool falling apart, at least 1 of the elevators was not working, elevator floor buttons missing, definitely not enough staff (but friendly), and pool was clean and kept up. Only one person working in the Tavern restaurant who had to run upstairs to get our food order from the Waterside restaurant (which made our food cold). Overall the place is run down and needs investment to bring back up to where it should be. However, it is so very conveniently located in the park close to the mountain, attractions etc. Despite the issues, I recommend.
The resort is absolutely beautiful. The area was perfect. Great location. The balcony and shower weren’t the cleanest. I called twice to have the spider webs cleaned on the balcony but no one ever came. I purchased a balcony room to be able to sit on it and enjoy the lakeview. The hotel was in a transformation process so one of the restaurants were closed on Saturday including the pool table and the menus were limited. We came on a rainy weekend so that didn’t help. However, we’d definitely come again.
For a "resort" this stay fell short. The only positive was our view of the lake from room. The elevator button to take you to the third floor on both elevators that were working was broken, it literally fell in the floor. That was never repaired the two nights we stayed. The room all though large had no storage for any of your things. No dresser, no drawers, no storage. Only four towels for 6 guests and only two small trash cans. The outside pool area was not clean, the furniture was old and torn. The pool on the inside was freezing and the hot tub was cold. I would have like to have tried a trail beside the pool but the grounds were so unkempt I was afraid to walk out there. I was so glad to check out and feel we wasted a lot of money on a bad experience. We would not recommend this hotel or ever come back.
