We visited the Dallas Zoo without realizing it was their Dollar Day promotion. The park was definitely crowded, but it made sense once we figured out about the special pricing. It was also very hot, so some animals were not out in their habitats. This was slightly disappointing; however, it was completely understandable for their safety. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the animals we did see, and it was a good adventure overall.
My visit to the Dallas Zoo was an amazing experience from start to finish. The zoo is very clean, well maintained, and easy to explore. You can tell that a lot of effort goes into caring for the animals and creating habitats that are spacious, beautiful, and enriching. There is a great variety of animals from all over the world, making every section of the zoo exciting to visit. The staff members were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. I also appreciated the many shaded areas, clean restrooms, and food options throughout the park, which made the visit comfortable even on a warm day. One of my favorite parts was being able to see the animals up close while learning about conservation and the important work the zoo does to protect wildlife. It is a wonderful place for families, couples, friends, or anyone who enjoys nature and animals. There are plenty of exhibits and activities to keep you entertained for hours. I highly recommend the Dallas Zoo to both locals and visitors. It offers a fun, educational, and memorable experience that is well worth the price of admission. I can't wait to come back and explore even more on my next visit!

The picture of otter was blurry because they moved so fast. I didn't want to share photos that had my daughter in it but she absolutely had an amazing time. She loves the otters and had absolutely loved feeding the giraffe. We had went around 1130 so there had been a line. But only two family was in front of us. Wait wasn't bad entering. Feeding giraffe around 3pm had a line but it was worth it. This is the first time my daughter ever gotten inside a zoo. She also loved that there was a big fan throughout the zoo with the water mist. On hot Texas days is a must for the out door walking so I appreciate that the zoo had this. Heat stroke isn't a joke and it's awesome they had this fan all over the zoo. Good food too where you can look out at the lions. One had staied near the window so it was awesome to see my daughter reaction. Lol I kinda don't get why she scared of crocodile but not scared of the big cat lol lions can be scary lol she is 9 lol . Very funny to witness lol. Ohhhh and they had two tiger cubs too !!! Not near this restaurant but it was amazing to see the cubs play
I’ve been to the Dallas Zoo twice—once on the weekend and another time during the week on a school field trip—and I loved both experiences. The zoo is big, well maintained, and has a great variety of animals to see. Even when it’s busy on weekends, it still feels fun and organized, and during the weekday visit it was much calmer and easier to explore with the students. The exhibits are really nice, and there’s plenty to do for both kids and adults. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day, whether you’re going with family, friends, or on a school trip. Definitely one of my favorite attractions in Dallas!
Great zoo but in the middle of July it was pretty hot. Definitely recommend you try to find a day with overcast. Lots of animals to pick from affordable pricing. Delicious Dole soft serve was fantastic. The gift shop was full and very well stocked. Staff was super friendly. Definitely would recommend if you're in the Dallas area
