I was a bit disappointed with my stay. There were no issues with the room and the front desk staff was fine, but my problem is with the pricing and convenience. I booked this hotel for a concert and thought it would be helpful to be able to walk to the venue and not worry about parking. That was wrong. The hotel only offers valet parking and it’s $42 per night on top of the cost of your room. It would have been cheaper for me to just park at the concert. The hotel has a restaurant and there also seemed to be a wedding going on while I was there. When I asked the valet if this fee also applied to guests actually staying at the hotel or if it was included in my stay, he laughed in my face and gave me a snarky response of “what else would it be for” … idk maybe people visiting friends/family in the hotel or people there for the restaurant? Further, when my car was returned to me, my tire pressure is now miraculously low in one of my tires and when my husband checked my tire, he asked if I hit a curb because the tire seemed a bit deformed in one spot. Makes me wonder how my car was being driven considering I didn’t have this problem before. UPDATE: had to take my car in for repairs and there’s damage to my side wall that resulted in having to have my tire replaced. Not just a run over nail. Take that into consideration if you have to use the valet service at this hotel. Overall I’m really disappointed in the experience considering I paid nearly $300 for ONE night after fees and valet. The room was nice enough, but definitely not something I would spend that much on.

The hotel itself is nice. I don't understand the way. The room is set up. It's very large but everything like the cabinet. The closet was shifted to the right to the left. There was tons of wall in space. I don't know the refrigerator didn't get so I was concerned about my food being OK the next day bathroom is really nice. Bed is very comfortable. The remote to the TV did not work so we had to call down when we arrived. They kind of didn't instruct us that our hotel key card also operated the elevator for our floor. I did like that check-in was on the 10th floor. Nice lounge area up there where you can sit have drinks look over the city very nice yeah so that's about it. I don't know who designed the rooms but they could've done a little better job.. I am going to give a review on the Fahrenheit rooftop restaurant in another review to keep that in the hotel separate so look for that review next.
During snowmageddon my husband and I stopped in Charlotte on our way from Pittsburgh to Florida. What a wonderful stop! The rooms were great as was the price. Great breakfast included. Staff was super nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed Sam who valeted our car. Unsolicitedly, he helped me pack my car which was a relief to me. Nice to see such nice manners in a young man.
Stayed one night while in Charlotte for a concert. Con ert was at the Spectrum Center which was less than a minute walk from the hotel. Room was clean and comfy. Staff is amazing, helpfully and kind. The breakfast was delicious. My family will definitely stay again while in town.
We had an amazing stay at Hyatt Place Downtown Charlotte! From the moment we checked in, Alma made us feel so welcome. She was friendly, accommodating, and even surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful suite overlooking the Charlotte skyline. Our room was clean, spacious, and had incredible views. This was our first stay at this location, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Alma went above and beyond throughout our stay. She made us excellent drinks, provided outstanding service, and genuinely made us feel valued as guests. She is truly an asset to Hyatt, and her hospitality is one of the main reasons we’ll be returning. We live about 30 minutes from Charlotte, and thanks to Alma’s exceptional service, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! 👏🙏❤️
