Everyone at Dr. Van Tran Family Practice is excellent! I have seen each provider here (pending availability) and the transition in my care has been seamless. I feel like each provider truly listens to my concerns, spends ample time helping me evaluate options, and genuinely is invested in my health. Meredith in particular deserves a huge shout out- I have never met such a thorough and thoughtful medical provider!! I’ve recommended friends and family come here and they have been so happy with the care they have received. If you need a GP, you’ll be in great hands at this practice!
I have been a loyal Dr Tran patient for 18 years! The front desk lady is just down right rude. She is instantly bothered every time I have encountered her. Dr Tran and Olivia and Meridith are all wonderful. I have no clue why her behavior is tolerated. Please do better. I will be making a verbal complaint my next appointment. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm specifically talking about the girl who sits on the back when we leave to schedule our next appointment and takes payment.

I want to start by expressing my gratitude for Dr. Olivia; she is an exceptional doctor, and I have no complaints about her care or professionalism. However, I am reaching out to address a concerning issue I’ve experienced regarding the front desk and nursing staff. I had an appointment last Thursday, during which I was prescribed medication that was supposed to be sent to my pharmacy. It has now been a week, and my prescription has not been sent. Despite my repeated calls—every single day—I am met with the same response: that they will inform the nurse, and the call ends quickly without further assistance. Additionally, I’ve sent two messages through the patient portal and have not received any response. When I called yesterday, I learned that there is only one nurse available and that she is backed up. As unfortunate as it is this should not impact patients' access to necessary medications. Today, I called again and was told they would again notify the nurse, it’s 4:55 pm with no update. Does the medical team know that patients are dang near begging to get their medications? It sucks to consider seeking care elsewhere simply because I cannot obtain the medication I need.
I’ve been coming to Dr. Van Tran’s office since June 2025, and my experience with PA-C Olivia Russell has been exceptional. She truly listens, provides thoughtful and clear guidance, and always makes sure I fully understand my care plan. Olivia creates an environment where you feel welcomed, supported, and safe to speak openly and that makes all the difference. Before meeting Olivia, I had my PCP provider at a Memorial Hermann clinic. However, the level of care that Olivia provides is unmatched. After experiencing her professionalism, compassion, and thoroughness, I changed my PCP on my insurance specifically so I could continue being seen at Dr. Van Tran’s office. Olivia has done an exceptional job, and I’ve never felt more confident in my care. She has a gift for explaining things in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being. Her passion for what she does shows in every visit, and I’m so grateful my colleague recommended her to me. She consistently goes above and beyond for my medical needs. Without hesitation, I would refer anyone to schedule with Olivia and I’ve already recommended her to several of my family members.
I was really excited to become a new patient here, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. I called multiple times (at least three separate attempts), and during my final call I was placed on hold for 32 minutes. No one ever came back to the line — it appears they left me on hold until the office closed, despite knowing I was waiting. In total, I spent over an hour just trying to schedule an appointment. The initial interaction was also concerning. The person who answered sounded upset and irritated when I asked about scheduling and told me they were booked until the week of March 16. I completely understand offices get busy, but professionalism and courtesy still matter. Sadly, this experience felt like a red flag. I was truly looking forward to trying this practice, but after this, I’ll have to look for another doctor.
