This place is incredible and huge! There is so much to see! With a staff who are passionate and ready to help, the museum is logically laid out through a chronological walk across Air Force history. No need to purchase tickets as your entire experience is free. Please be sure to stop by the gift shop. They have so much to see and many interesting trinkets.
Absolutely worth it a visit to this museum! For one, its free! This place is massive, be prepared to walk a lot. There are also plenty of places to take a break if needed. From the beginning of planes through what is used today and everything in between, you get to see the real size of every plane used in the Air Force. There are some places you can walk through, mock cockpits to sit in, interactive quizzes to test your knowledge, and other interactive activities. Even if you are not a plane enthusiast, this museum is worth seeing. Plan for a minimum 3-4 hour time to visit it all. There is a café, but you can also pack a meal and picnic outside at tables (which is what we did and it was perfect). If you plan to shop in the gift shop, give yourself 30-45min to walk through and see everything before leaving. Kid friendly, stroller friendly.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force is an incredible place to visit and a must-see for aviation and history enthusiasts. The museum is well organized, and the collection of aircraft is truly impressive, ranging from historic warplanes to modern military aircraft and even presidential planes. The exhibits are informative, and there’s plenty to see for both adults and kids. The museum is spacious, clean, and easy to explore at your own pace. We easily spent several hours there and still felt there was more to discover. Best of all, admission is free, making it an outstanding value. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this museum—it’s an unforgettable experience that offers a fascinating look into aviation history.
Great Museum, be prepared to walk a lot and wear comfy shoes. It took us 5 hours to complete the tour and still we didn’t complete some of the sections. So plan to go there early as possible. The food court kinda takes long time to call in the order we waited like 45 mins for our food to be ready but other than that it was amazing.
An absolutely awe-inspiring collection of air- and spacecraft, affording the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the most storied planes in American history. These include the B-17 Memphis Belle, the nuclear B-29 Bockscar, not one but two SR-71 Blackbirds, the X-15 hypersonic research plane, and my personal favorite aircraft of all time, the sexy B-58 Hustler. If you love the National Air & Space Museum, with its fantastic Udvar-Hazy annex, or the Duxford Air Museum in the UK, you're going to flip for this place.
