Wow!! Do not miss this historical park when you are in the Dayton area! One of the most well-done historical parks we have ever visited. Getting to see Wright’s flyer was phenomenal, but the whole experience is wonderful! Do not skip the movies; creatively designed. We will absolutely be back!
2025 I came for the lights & the lights made it beautiful to walk through. It was nice hearing about the history and checking out the buildings that helped make the winter experience better by staying warm. Train ride ($5 per person) was a good length of distance & their carousel ($1 per ride) was unique. I loved how each seat had marked a part of history. I felt like the price was fair.
Magical experience! We keep coming back every year and the place keeps advancing and growing! They kept us surprised with true experiences of hot cider, delights hot chocolate, authentic and knowledgeable staff. We got Christmas cards printed, met with Santa, rode the train. The place it so rich with Dayton s history and we ALWAYS keep learning new facts. Amazing and always recommended!

A must-visit gem in Dayton! Carillon Historical Park is one of the most impressive and well-designed historical sites I’ve ever visited. It perfectly blends education, history, and nature — making it enjoyable for both adults and kids. From the moment you enter, you can tell how much care and effort has gone into preserving Dayton’s incredible history, especially its deep connection to innovation and aviation. The exhibits are fascinating — especially the Wright Brothers section, which gives you a real sense of how much Dayton contributed to the world of flight. The Carillon Tower itself is breathtaking, both in scale and in the way it symbolizes the city’s heritage. I also loved exploring the old buildings, vintage trolleys, and beautifully restored machinery — it truly feels like stepping back in time. The park grounds are beautifully maintained, with peaceful walking paths, scenic spots for photos, and plenty of benches to relax. The staff and volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do — they make the history come alive. Don’t miss the Brewery and the Carillon Brewing Co., where you can enjoy excellent food and locally brewed beer in a historical atmosphere — it’s such a unique experience! Whether you’re a history lover, an aviation enthusiast, or just looking for a great day out in Dayton, Carillon Historical Park is absolutely worth the visit. It’s educational, inspiring, and beautifully done — a true treasure for the city and anyone who loves American history. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Went to see the Christmas lights and walk through our history. It was so beautiful! Went on the train, it was an extra $5 to ride but it was a good experience. The Christmas experience starts at 5pm and I am glad we went early because the train got really busy around 6:45. They had boozy hot chocolate which was amazing and yummy popcorn. There were mini train rides, letters to Santa and the carousel as well but I didn't personally experience those. Some of the lights at the bell tower were out but it was still pretty 😊
